AV Amp with Airplay

A curve ball to the stereo amp thread.

Just wondering what AV Receiver out there with Airplay that is under £800?

I know Pioneer has one but it is £1k.

The reason i am asking is that half my time i am playing music through my old am through Apple Express and so for that time, stereo performance doesn't need to be top notch...it isn't exactly Lossless format for a start!

So...Av amp with airplay? Suggestions?

Ohh well, forget the recommendation I made in your other thread then as that doesn't have airplay.

There is a Pioneer for less than £500 with airplay, the VSX-921 but not sure how good it is:

the cheaper Denon's also have airplay like the AVR1912 & AVR2312

So...what is the best AV Amp (forget stereo HiFi side of things) this side of £800?

Must have Airplay, and whatever the must have tech these days.

As I said in your other thread. Pio LX53, new one here for £760.

This was £1200 at release.

Generally the LX range is higher, though reports said the 2020 was the same internals as the LX53 just the LX has aluminium front.

The 2021 is newer and adds airplay, seen some good reviews on it, I'm sure it will be excellent.

Looking at the spec compare

The difference between the LX and 2021 is 7.2 v 7.1 and the wifi really. The rest is much of muchness, same body chassis as well.

Where the real star is the 921 !!! It has 90% of the LX and 35% of the price !!!
