Jealousy implies I can't gain access to, or afford a Nexus. I can do either. I am choosing not to because it's not a big enough step up from a sgs2.
When asking the same question to others all I get is attitude. I wonder if I'd get the same negative reaction if it wasn't for the volume bug, or the poor battery life.
This thread is called "the official galaxy nexus thread", not "post here if you love the nexus".
It is not a huge step up from the Galaxy S II, no, but to imply there is basically no difference is quite bizarre. Nobody has suggested that there is a big difference.
The screen is a huge hardware feature of any modern phone, and this has the biggest (without being too big), and the best resolution. It's sharp, which is what AMOLED screens have been lacking until now, I've complained about it since I got my HTC Desire years ago.
Stock Android looks worth having more than ever with the ICS improvements, all future updates will come to the phone with absolutely no problems and some people seem to care an awful lot about that, so of course it's a good feature.
It's a much nicer design than the Galaxy S II (again, this is opinion) and seems to be faster at anything that isn't taxing on the GPU - most things. Yes, that may be software related but the fact is that it's the quickest device out there at the moment. Nothing stays on top for very long in the current phone climate and they are all ridiculously powerful. The lack of an SD card slot is disappointing, but it isn't going to bother everyone.
Yes, the camera/video aren't really any better, but the camera for example has the extremely quick shutter speed and a few other small benefits like the superior low light performance. The battery is probably slightly worse, but I doubt there is a lot in it.
You just keep posting one liners trying to irritate people which seems a bit strange, there's no need for it.
I've never been totally happy with the Galaxy S II or Sensation myself personally, I use the iPhone 4 over both of them because neither of them tick as many boxes as that does, but hopefully the Nexus will bridge that gap with its excellent screen and more mature Android software. We'll see. If not, I don't care. I'll get a 4S until Google try again.
Anyway, hopefully you understand a bit better now.
