Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

I really enjoyed black ops

Things like combat training and the changes to the kill streak / perk system were very welcome.

Black ops felt a very balanced game. This on the other hand ... does not. Its been done by a bunch of cowboys because IW didn't have enough resources to make the multiplayer and it shows.

I went last Monday and got an offer of £18.50 at GAME so obviously I wasn't going to trade it in there.

I went to CEX and got an offer of £33 which I would have accepted since I could sell Elite online for another £30ish, but no they couldn't take it because they had no cash... (what kind of business stays open when they have no money in the tills?). So I could either wait and hope someone comes in and buys something so they have some money or come back in 3-4 hours and neither of which I was prepared to do.

And lastly HMV wouldn't take it because my photo ID wasn't the right kind apparently =/ When questioned what ID is acceptable, drivers license and passport and I don't have either of those.

So where else can I trade it in?

I don't do Ebay either.

From hearing you rage on COD I wish I was following you round that day. :D

Didn't really complain to be honest since I learned my lesson, don't even bother trying to do anything on the highstreet since it's a complete and utter waste of time. I already knew this but the only way I was going to get what the game was worth was if I took the trip into town.

I didn't dare say anything in CEX either incase I got stabbed :( Full of nothing but scum and I felt really dirty just walking through the door.

What have treyarch ever done that was worth doing?!

Plenty

Why not just sell through the cex website then? Doesn't cost anything to send your game and you'll get the money in a few days. though it's showing £31 on there for cash and £33 for exchange.

Just checking out elite to find my little upload video, is it me or is there more stats and things available now than a few days ago

Yes it looks like challenges with tracking and nearest to completion has come online and heat maps finally appear too. Although still inferior to the console app heat maps which have been working for sometime.

A spec ops level where you rescue hostages and have to use stealth is better than anything in the SP game. Two players on Veteran blows away anything in the SP game. Infact most of the spec ops levels are more interesting than the SP game, most of the areas are lifted straight from the game.

So why the hell don't they just include these in the SP game and make the SP game better? Or is this the only way they can think to give the game co-op?

Theatre mode in Black Ops is a million times better than this. The general infrastructure of Black Ops is much better, you can tell they started to develop this before Black Ops was finished so all the Black Ops improvements are out of the window and it's back to the MW2 engine.

I do like being a pest with the Recon Drone :D I must switch to a Hardline class next time before calling it in.

Normally I never log in or have an account on youtube now I forgot whilst doing this and I have a history of looking at Argentine female forecourt attendants in skin tight Lycra? :o

Made two incredibly good Call of Duty games. People were starting to get a bit fed up of WW2 games, World at War gave a fresh perspective having quite a lot of the game set in the Pacific theatre instead of solely in Europe. They also managed to improve on the Modern Warfare multiplayer (in my opinion). Tanks were added to certain multiplayer maps and never really felt overpowered, Nazi Zombies were introduced which was ridiculously fun, I didn't get into it in Black Ops but in WaW I thought it was excellent.

Then they improved on that all over again in Black Ops, a great campaign which I really enjoyed followed up by the multiplayer which took MW2 and improved on it in most areas (again in my opinion). Quite a few others here prefer Treyarch's last two games as well so I know I'm not alone in my opinion though I'm sure for many Modern Warfare is the best Call of Duty experience online to date, on the consoles at least.

So after reading about this whole lag compensation rubbish I went on the talktalk forums and asked them to change my profile to give me higher ping. I've gone from 17ms to 38ms(this is on pingtest) and I actually had far less BS when I played earlier(bare in mind I didn't know they'd changed my connection til after I played MW3).
Robert Bowling tweeted that they're having a meeting to discuss the lag. I tweeted back that they should just remove lag compensation. Problem solved :D

Well said mate, couldn't agree more.

Oh great one, tell us how it should be played?

No I have no idea everyone plays it differently and I am by no means great,

From the way you talk about the games of Dom you play I assume that you play by say spawn at A cap that then go cap B then go cap C then go cap B then back to A or do you all take home flag then all move up to the next? or do 1 or 2 of you take home then the rest move to the next? I am just interested. So no need for the sarcasm tbh.

To be honest the whole experience has put me off. I was expecting to just go down, hand the game over and they would check it over and give me my money, but it ended up with me being told to come back later, already having wasted £5 on the journey and about 2 hours of my time. I never sell my games and it took a lot to push me that far to actually want to get rid of it, but now I've not played it for a week so I no longer care about it enough to want to sell it.

In short I'm lazy and can't be arsed with the hassle.

Must be the quickest veteran play through of all the CODs, I assume restarting cause you die adds to the timer rather than reseting from the checkpoint?

Complete in 7hr 19min

Imagine how short it would be for people who play games on normal. Yeah when you die it still adds to the timer.

Seriously considering dropping a token on a Trophy system I'm so sick of predator deaths.

I agree. Black ops was great after the initial issues were sorted.

Wasn't that about March though 4 months in? And they never even acknowledged a problem with the lag compensation.

They do seem to have a limited cash float for the day its best to get over there early or ring first so they put some by. I did also get served by a guy who couldn't find cash for a sealed copy of MW2 back in the day, but lucky another member of staff stepped in.
