HTC sensation XE or Galaxy Nexus

On paper the Nexus wins but i would always be wary of picking up a phone straight at release - they all seem to have a few bugs these days. Even more so when there is an upgraded OS onboard.

If you can wait i would say see what the post release vibe is for the Nexus.

From what i've read the XE isn't really worth getting over the original Sensation unless you want a decent set of headphones. The Beats software doesn't do anything amazing and the speed gain is negligible. I'd have to say the GSII is probably a better bet with the only downside being the build quality feeling less quality to the HTC - for some people that is :)

I'll just leave this here.

http://www.gsmarena.com/quadcore_exynos_4412_chipset_revealed_in_kernel_patch-news-3404.php

Probably that quad core A9 + quad core T604 ARM leaked with the recently announced T658.
If it uses Sammys 32nm HKMG process, like the 4212, performance will be mind blowing. It should overclock like stank too! ~5 times faster than the current Exynos in the SGS2? Maybe...

It's probably more suited to a tablet (W8) but Samsung are going a bit spec mad of late, SGS3 anyone? :p

No doubt Samsungs version will be butchered and made to look like IOS even more, emmm no thanks, rather have the pure stock goodness of ICS!

As for ROMs, can't remember exactly what/whos issue it is but for Samsung drivers from what I understand are extremely difficult to work with and as a result that is why CM is still buggy as hell which have some serious problems and will probably be a while till anything for use every day is out, so I wonder how long something like ICS which is pretty much a new OS by the looks of it will be? (where everything is working and stable)

And are you sure you aren't a wee bit jealous Tim? ;)

Coming across like you really are and badly want a nexus cause you are slagging it off big time compared to the mobile that you currently have thus trying to persuade yourself that it really is crap :p

Nah nah nah nah nah, Im getting a Nexus, and then a Lumia, nah nah nah nah nah! :p

lolloltim.

Oh, and a 2500k, and an MSI Z68, and then next year some keplers, I wont have any money left, but I'll be happy, nah nah nah nah nah :D

Screen + 4G modem.

The second part doesnt matter yet as we dont have 4G available in the UK, but should we ever get it within the next 2 years then I'm sorted without needing a new handset.

You don't have an LTE phone.

As for HSPA+, we already have that. It isn't 4G, no matter what some American mobile operators want you to believe.

Erm, the Galaxy Nexus is a full 4G LTE phone, we just dont currently have networks that support that.

O2 are beggining 4G trials in London, though I have no idea how long it will take to get proper 4G coverage in the UK.

Feel free to google O2 4G trials, they are testing 4G LTE in London since earlier this month.

All Galaxy Nexus phones are specified as 4G LTE capable.

seriously, either you are trolling, or are speaking about things you clearly have no idea about.

Open up google now, type in O2 4G trials, and read the links. Unfortunately I cant link using my phone over my amazing 3G connection.

BBC news - O2 begins 4G LTE trials in London, dated 14th November 2011.

Read any specification link for the galaxy nexus - 4G LTE.

Okay, i'll bite

So whenever I am right, and someone else is wrong, I am a troll

Do some research, use google and learn.

I suggest you use google. Check out the physical differences between an LTE Galaxy Nexus and a 3G/HSPA+ Galaxy Nexus. See which you have.

The key word is trial. The technology itself isn't in doubt, demonstrating it is easy. They would have had special dispensation to do LTE trials from Ofcom on a temporary basis. The hold up for LTE networks is spectrum allocation.

You seriously fail at using google and I don't need to use google.

I checked on clove - all Galaxy nexus are pentaband enabled up to 2100 mhz. Now stop your trolling and go some place else.

Pentaband = 850 / 900 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100

Guess what LTE uses in the UK. 800 / 2600

Check the previous ofcom link I gave.
