i heard the camera and cpu is? there is 1.5ghz dual core out now and this is 1.2? dont know if that has any significant differences? But what about the camera? 5mp vs 8mp?

Make no mistake, even if the specs are fine, the volume bug is not fine and only a blind fanboy would ignore that issue

i am probably a bigger android fan then most in this thread as i have been developing apps for it since android 1.5 version and make a living on it so dont bother calling me some anti android hater
 
Stats aside, im very happy with the performance of this phone. Ive seen no lag at all yet. 1.2 or 1.5, as long as it performs well, thats all that matters.
 
mate, i have no doubt that a bug free ICS of this phone is great mate but there is a 60% chance that i could get the bug if i buy it. there is no if or buts about that. That is a large failure rate imo. Larger then the 3rrod debacle from xbox 360

for an android fan boy you don't know much about android phones...

and what is a anti android hater? does that mean you hate people who are anti android?

wow 60% another random stat from a website, its less than anyway, the poll was taken from XDA (but being a big android fan you knew that) we won't be left hanging its a serious issue in phone use, so it will get fixed... they simply cant leave it or deny. either a fix or a recall/replace.

it means a person who hates android devices. O i am more interested in the software side of android. thats what i do for a living.

Infact, i just persuaded my boss last friday to buy me a couple of these devices so i should just try it out myself instead of asking here.

Well point me to a link stating its much less then 60%. if you cant then you cannot deny that figure with no backup/evidence that counters that figure. As far as i know thats the only figure thats released. so if u can provide me with another figure from a reputable website then shoot. Also, XDA is prety much a android fanboy custom rom forum so to see MOST android fans complaining about the bug says it all

How? all i did was state that i will get a couple of these phones at work and how i should just try it out myself instead of asking people here who "some" seem to be defending the volume bug like blooming android fanboys in denial.

first i hear that only the gpu is inferior spec wise(when the cpu and camera is as well) and second i hear that *****/xda both are stating false failure/bug stats againts umm???

60% off 140 odd users - yes its a serious issue, but that works best really, as it cannot be left, overlooked, denied or ignored. They have to resolve it.

its pretty lame as you would hope testing would have been done, but it comes as part of the package when you early adopt a phone.

clove are saying there new batch is not effected, how true that is i don't know

That and every specification I check for the phone said it was 4G, so I assumed futureproofed for the next two years'

With the free Lumia 800 offer, I pay just £528 over 18 months, and still have 10 Gb internet, and 900 mins or 1800 texts.

3 just told me not to refuse the delivery, I have to accept it, then call then back to sort out the return and I wont get billed or charged for the return. I think I can still play with the handset as long as I dont use the 3 contract sim.

i don't know if it is officially going to ever come out in the UK...

i know they will fix it, they have to. it is a shame although it does not effect me for some reason, it needs resolving and swift action, i hope an update from samsung will come today

The wording is close to this in regards to coverage but it's more the case they cover 95% of geographic population or something odd like that so rather than 95% of the land, they cover 95% of the land people are on. A neat way of excluding the countryside :)

Alas, this is a pretty bad mess and disabling 2G is not really a decent option until 2014 or so for us UK citizens, I expect a recall tbh.
