If this is wrong please let me know. The same goes for if I've missed your name off!

From what a gather there's mixed opinions on Friday's restaurant so there might be two different groups unfortunately but the main event is Saturday so we will still see each other, don't worry :p

From what I gather DRZ is booking a table at Upstairs At the Grill. Please let him know if you want to eat there. (Hope that's ok with you DRZ!)

A few of us are thinking of going to Piccolino's (I originally checked the menu on my phone but have now found two dishes I can choose from. Not because I was being fussy but because I can't eat half the stuff due to intolerances) If you want to go there please say so we can get an idea of numbers.

Saturday - Chester Zoo then Toby Carvery for evening meal. If you are attending the meal please let me know so that I can book the table a.s.a.p.

After the meal we can head to a bar. I've had a quick browse and this looks like an interesting bar:

Cheap too!!

But obviously I know we have a mixed crowd and it seems there are quite a few bars close together so we can always choose when we are there :)

Booo, should have done Bristol zoo!

Be glad I'm not coming, every time I go to the zoo I go a bit David Attenborough overboard (narration mode) - nobody cares about the naked mole rats :(

Except me :o

Sergios is cheaper and there are more dishes that I can actually eat.

Duttons do main dishes as well. Obviously if the majority want to go elsewhere then no skin off my nose I will go somewhere else :)

Ugh Carluccios were rubbish they only had one dish I could eat and it wasnt very nice.

Is that because you're vegetarian? If so then mrs shoes and I would rather avoid it too.

Duttons seems to have a fair range of vegetarian nosh though :)

Edit: Ignore that - we'll only be around for the Saturday at the Zoo. The carvery sounds great, I'll have to check her indoors is up for that too, I don't see why not. I'll have her share of meat :p

I can't find a hotel for a decent rate! =/ £86 at Chester South for one night is too much. No standard rooms left there, only deluxe.

Burtie doesn't drink so I think he's offering to drive ;)
If not, then just book Chester South! £86 is more expensive than what we paid, but it's not *that* bad. Unless you can find something cheaper in town like a guest house or something that has car parking.

It's so far away, a whopping 3-4 hours, and like petrol, and you know... stuff! Gotta keep on top of the stuff.
Excuses. It's 4hrs drive for me! Well not me, but my chauffeur.

There's a travelodge in town for £70 on the Saturday night. Walking distance from the bars etc...

Edit: There's a Premier Inn too, little further out.

Victor Meldrew?! Are you referring to Bob? :p
It's ok, I have control of the stereo so I will just put the music up. I'm sure a bit of Justin Bieber will cheer him right up.

Aww I really wanna go. I just checked the train prices, a day return comes in at a lovely £72! I take it that no-one is driving from London (or nearby) to Chester and back on the same day?

It'll be pretty pointless coming back on the same day as it'll take us 4 hours to drive there and 4 hours to drive back. If you were to go up on Friday and back on Sunday as well then you might be able to get a lift off someone, but otherwise the answer is no :(
