Has anyone got, or can anyone link me to Windows PE 1.6 (2005). AFAIK it came with Windows 2003.

I've googled which just points me towards the Microsoft Licensing site. The company I work for has access to that but I can't findj it on there and the links are dead.

I'm using OSIM (CA Product) to setup a PXE imaging enviroment. CA DSM requires you to make the PXE boot disk in its interface, and that is requesting access to the Microsoft PE 1.6 source files.

That link you put is for AIK which is a much newer release. This is Win PE 1.6 from 2005 I am after.

Microsoft SMS 2003 Operating System Deployment (OSD) Feature Pack
should have the Win PE 1.6 all i can find for a download is this link

Or if you have a copy of Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1 (SP1) CD or ISO you can RIP the Boot PE from it that is the same....... use this method to extract it Link the guide says XP CD but you just use Server 2003 SP1....

Im sure it's easier to find and download Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1 that it is to find Win PE 1.6 as a download.....
let me know if any of this helps

LINKS FIXED NOW SORRY

Hello mate, thanks for the links. I've downloaded from the technet link, but been unable to test it today (should be able to tomorrow). The link points to WDS which as far as I know is different to Windows PE.....

The other link points to using BartPE which isn't the Microsoft product. I've got Windows 2003 SP1 and SP2 as an ISO here. Extracted the CD but couldn't find anything relating to Support tools or Windows PE.

Yes this should really be in Windows and other Software, could a passing mod please move? I was browsing the wrong window when I posted!

Thanks!
