**The Official Nokia Lumia 800 Thread***

So it seems that people who have tried it have really liked it :)

As soon as it gets the tethering update it will be perfect.

I want a blue one too, but they are rare!

T mob definitely told me they had them in blue and black, but someone else here was told they only had them in black

Its only a single core 1400 Mhz CPU and 512 mb ram compared to 1.2 Ghz dual core and 1 Gb ram on the nexus though, but its cheaper and much more affordable, and likely not bugged.

The only issue is no tethering yet, but microsoft said it will added in as an update.

I know you like the latest specs, but let me tell you something, this phone will feel just as fast and responsive as the Nexus, if not more so. WP7 runs like a dream on this sort of hardware, anything more would just be overkill.

My old Omnia 7 is just as speedy as my Galaxy S II, it feels totally fluid as well. No lag at all.

Just pay it off.

I asked about that and no can do - I'd have to pay it off at full price of £57.50 pm, my discount wouldnt apply :(

Also I only have two more months to pay before my upgrade date - december + january at £29.35 each.

If I want to buy it off, I have to pay 3 x £58.xx for dec, jan, and feb, because my contract ends in march, but the upgrade date is one month early.

Well, as I can't get a Galaxy Nexus now for a short while at least (due to the fact they are all faulty), my attention turns to a blue one of these... damn it. :( :p

I'll sell you my old Omnia 7 for £350 and then you won't have to pay £400 for the 800... Bargain..;)

(Yeah I know you already have one, but a second would mean you didn't have to get an 800...:p)

Meh, what's £150~ if it gets you a phone quicker :p

LOL, thats not worth it :x

Upgrading on the upgrade date gives me one month reduction too, I forget to add that when calculating the tariff cost.

If you upgrade on the renewal date, you only pay for 17 months, not 18 :)

Also, I wonder if they would give me the unlimited text booster at half price - a couple of years ago they. didnt allow bundles or add ons to be discounted, but the unlimited text bundle for half price would put me on:

£31.85 pm, £183 monthly credit (now purely for calls and 08 numbers), unlimited texts, 10 Gb internet.

Or if I could somehow change to Flext 40 + WnW max, but I doubt they let you do that anymore :(

Why couldnt I have had flext 40 + WnW max for £2.50pm extra

.... Wait ... now imagine flext 40, unlimited text booster, WnW max .... all half price (£35 pm). I fail for not having managed to secure / haggle that deal yet :(

Actually no, its impossible anyway.

If anyone can hassle them until they give in, it's you bhavv. ;)

:D

You know what they told me today when I called to enquire about upgrading 3 months early? I think I might have already said this here, but they said:

'We only allow "high value customers" to upgrade 3 months early, and those only make up 5-10% of our customer base, which I dont think your account would be eligible for'.

6 years of paying a little under £30 on what is actually a £58 pm tariff full price =/= a high value customer  THE NERVE!!!

So tomorrow I call upgrades / retentions directly, and the first question I will ask is 'Hi, I have a rather odd query I would like to ask about my custom over the last 6 years with T mobile. Do you consider me to be a 'high value customer?'

... the person on the other end will probably be famboozled by that question and reply '... erm, yes?'.

'Ok thats great then, now give me my upgrade 3 months early' :D

Cant wait to try it.
