Love you ubisoft!

Ubisoft are far from Anti PC.

IL2-COD was Steamworks and the new Driver was a damn good PC version. And they are still making decent Ass Creed PC SKU's too.

I actually have started to prefer Ubi over E.A recently.

Just some uneducated dev spouting a load of ****.

If enough people tell Ubi what they want, they will commission it and that is that.

If Ubi say "Your doing this", they are the Publisher, they have the final say, not that douche.

Have to agree with you here.
It is just some moron dev with a grudge. Blaming piracy for everything that costs them money.
I refer back to this article from may, "Game developer Lionhead has declared that second-hand sales of video games for the Xbox 360 are a bigger problem for the company than pirated video games on the PC"
http://www.techspot.com/news/43866-lionhead-second-hand-console-games-more-costly-than-pc-piracy.html

Yet PC gamers are the ones to take the blame for the state of the games industry because we are easy already in the spotlight targets.

Putting aside the massive console sales, generally easier to please demographic and the rest of the things that make sense.

You could argue that second hand console sales are worse than piracy. Ethically(if you support anti-piracy for the sake of developers and not just because it's illegal) it's certainly no better. Companies like GAME/station, Gamestop, CEX and the rest, are making money hand over fist and the developers get none of it, you get the game, the devs get nothing. I worked for GAME a moon or two ago and they were more interested in selling the used copies than new, because of the HUGE profit margin. People coming in off the street with the intention of getting a new game, getting pushed and shoved into the preowned was a prime directive.

If the game is any good, I'll get it on the 360..... preowned!! That will show them.

Ubisoft strikes again.

Ubisoft haven't published a game worth pirating in years. I can't remember the last Ubisoft game I played (It was Assassins Creed, bought it for a fiver, wasn't worth it). But alas, console piracy hurts them more than PC piracy, so they're talking rubbish.

Plus you can sell a console game when you're bored of it or complete it, both of which happen within a week usually.

In the age of codes and accounts, PC games are tied to you, so it's harder to justify spending so much on one.

My view at least /shrug

Well if its rubbish then no real point in being annoyed... (did play assassins creed 1 and 2, neither were all that interesting)

Yeah you can pirate console games but good luck with that.

It's not like you can just download a game and play it on your console, which literally everyone in this thread - including a don - is willingly overlooking. Right now I can literally google search Witcher 2 torrent and play it within the hour with NO extra hardware, soldering, or modified firmware needed.

Good luck trying the same with any old PS3 or 360 game. The average person can choose to play Witcher 2 at any time he/she pleases, but the same literally cannot be said of Halo:Reach or Red Dead Redemption for example. Only a tiny fraction of console games make up the overall pirated software library.

Does it matter how hard it is? People get their consoles chipped/flashed anyway, it's been that way since the Playstation.

Couldn't really care, last ubisoft game i bought was hyped by the devs as having 50 hours of gameplay, as all it did was respawn enemies moments after you killed them and was generally dull as hell, Hullo thar farcry 2.
