Well i caved and bought one.
I currently have sitting next to me a Samsung Galaxy S II, Blackberry Bold 9900 and now the Nokia Lumia 800. I also not long ago sold an iPhone 4 so i've pretty much gave all the big players a go.
I have to say i love the Nokia, I like it's one piece styling, i like it's shape, look etc... It may not match the likes of the Samsung for pure power but from a physical point it looks so much better than your typical plastic block Android phone.
For me though the biggest thing is Windows Mobile 7.5 it is superb, so simple yet looks classy and is butter smooth. I am a complete tech geek but when it comes to phones i want simple, stylish and easy to use, this offers me that. The tiles is a great idea and the colour of them against the pitch black is lush.
Setup and tweaking couldn't be easier and any newbie to smart phones should consider Windows as it's that simple.
Compare this to Android which is just a mess in my opinion and everything feels bolted on more than linked together, i can see why they have dual core phones because it needs it. The Nokia feels smoother due to the OS.
I was in two minds whether to go iPhone 4s or this and i'm glad with my choice, i save £100 and it does me plenty.
Also with coming from a Blackberry Bold 990 which i still use i found going back to touch screen a pain, i was forever correcting, deleting words on the Samsung, so much so it would be quicker to send by post. With the Windows phone the keyboard is so much better, i rarely make a mistake and when i do the auto correct is pretty much always right.
A happy customer here and can only see Microsoft and Nokia becoming stronger in the future and that's a good sign for us all.
My only gripe would be no flash support, battery could do with being a bit longer lasting and the camera needs tweaking. Apart from that i love it. The app store will grow vey quickly that i have no doubt.
