The Gigabyte has 10 levels of Load Line Calibration, the MSI just uses one "Low VDroop" option, plus the Gigabyte has a DVID/Offset mode, although I haven't seen conclusive evidence that it works well.
It's more down to the CPU really, virtually all 2500K's will clock to 4.4/4.5 GHz, the MSI is a good board and will do the job.
Take your pick.
Those two boards have offset and load line calibration features which are better that the MSI motherboard.cheers what would u suggest?
also seen http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-476-AS&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1990 what is that one like?
or Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3?

I would also consider the Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3P, it's £10 to £20 cheaper than those boards you mentioned and will do a good job and has all the bios features you need.
Gigabyte's got the best warranty service as well, it's in the UK, the only thing it lacks is the UEFI BIOS, not a big deal though.
Any of those motherboards will do the job, no problem.
Oh yep so if you run higher than 1920x1200 resolution and don't use a discrete graphics card, it won't be the motherboard for you lol.Davefran said:And no onboard DVI or VGA outputs![]()
