dunno what problem people are having with queues i loaded up the same at 7pm and was in a server within 3 minutes...
 
Played wow since day 1 up to june this year also have got every single failed mmo in the shelf gather dust conan,aion,war,rift,FF etc. IMO none have had a smooth launch/Beta/stress test whatever your calling it as Star wars i get 130 fps no drop under 100,no crash's no lag all. I have only waited 5 min max in the Que so far and been on and off since friday. To compare WOW to date to SW on day 2 is unfair, i have not forgotten wow crashing every day, lag so bad is took 20 min to loot etc. WOW killer as some call it its not in its current state but i think i could give a dent in numbers if they listen to the players in the next 12months. I like the no grinding aspect,story is decent and i love the not have to read quests. Defo keeping my pre order for now;)
 
The game plays a lot like WoW which is a good thing from a combat perspective. My only gripe from playing so far is that there is so much running about at the starting area, just like in WoW, feels abit of a grind to get past it which is my only negative point from playing up to level 5 so far. Hope it gets better later on.
 
Seriously, how are people doing 'too much running' with taxis/bikes and quick return? WOW vanilla was too much running (that autorun addon was great!) this is a stroll.

As to cost do some shopping around and get it for twenty something. The sub is the same as wow and about as low as you can go.

edit - just logged on no wait. Use US servers!

Before I played the game and only read about it, i was always going to be a Sith Inquisitor.

I heard that jedi was boring etc but I found that more interesting tbh.
 
Only level 5 but loving it so far. The stories make things really interesting and a lot of quests have "side" quests involved for extra rewards.

Playing Jedi Consular and its great so far. Pleasently surprised I must admit :)

Jedi Consular story does start very slow compared to the others but really opens up. My favourite has been IA/Smuggler so far - still rolling Consular/Sage as my main though!
 
I have currently Pre-ordered this from a Etailer and the game is showing up in my Origin games list ready to download when released,i currently playing the beta testing tonight.

What i dont understand is will i have to wait till the game gets delivered before i can dl it from origin,as a product key is already listed in the game info on origin?

If so if i cancel the pre-order from the Etailer,will the game then disappear from my Origin games list,if so i will then Pre-order direct from Origin to guarantee release day download.

Hope someone understands what i mean :)

You don't need Origin for the game anyway - they've also said the client will be available prior to the early access so you can download the game and be ready!

So you are getting a physical copy of the game correct? If so you currently have the pre-order code which allows you headstart however after the game has officially released you also need the product code to play the game, that is what will come with the box. So if you cancel the pre-order you will still have the pre-order code which will allow you into headtsart however you will still need to buy the game to get the product key to make it work from Dec 20th onwards.

So if i cancel my Pre-Order from the Etailer will my current Origin Icon for the game disappear?

What i mean is when i pre-order from Origin will i then have 2 SWTOR showing?

I think it shows on Origin because you registered a pre-order code on swtor so I think cancelling it wont remove it (a guess) - but if you don't use the "cdkey" from the physical copy come Dec 20th it might?!

So the server I've been playing on has gone from the list, does that mean I can't continue until (if) it comes back or that I've lost my character? :/
 
Okay, I can't tell, are people just randomly ignoring how good or bad it really is, purely because its Star Wars?

Graphics aren't the be all and end all for me, but it looks god damned awful, I don't mind playing WoW now (well I don't play it and have only played it a bit here and there) but if it looked comparitively as bad now as it did on release, I wouldn't have.

Its got that Champions Online, bland, flat, generic, horrible look. Its got a horrible interface, just, it seems utter rubbish at the start.

I thought going on people talking about Kotor it might be something like that, its not.

The strength was supposed to be voice acting and dialogue, so far its been embarrassingly tame/generic stuff, story has been barely existent, you start, you're about to train, go off kill 10 lame guys who aren't dangerous, story progresses almost instantly to foiling an evil plot, that was basically pathetic.

As someone else said, well i'm about 20 mins in and I'm skipping all conversation for generic stupid missions. "why not prove yourself capable of commanding an army......... by beating these 3 pathetic low mechs?"

From the stupid kiddie speech bubbles so the entire style, it feels dumbed down and "kiddy" rather than a real game. Everything about champions online was worse than City of Heroes, literally everything, and this is yet another MMO that is following that dumbed down MMO path.

Absolutely and utterly disappointed so far. :(
 
How on earth is this game causing more stress on my card than BF3? Lawl.

Madness!

Bluddy good fun though, doesn't feel anything like a WoW clone to be honest - I swore I wouldn't touch another mmorpg in my life but this almost too good to pass up.
