Probs been said before somewhere but just need a little confirmation that my temps are fine on this overclock.

I just used the AI software from Asus to overclock to 4.3ghz could go to the extreme but figured this would be fine, anyway idle temps are 28-32c and under load bf3, skyrim, they reach max of 49c, everything seems solid stable.

Am using a Akasa venom cpu cooler, am i okay at this :)

If I were you I'd use core temp and run prime 95 or similar, just to see what your worst case scenario is.

Was using Core temp to measure temps, not used prime 95 before and heard it has to be left for hours on end, can i just run it for a couple of hours tops?

Use Intel Burn Test, it's much quicker.
Run it 20 times on Max ram, set it to 4 threads and monitor temps with Core Temp or Real Temp and your vcore with CPU-Z.

Vcore should be around 1.25v depends on your cpu.
Max temps around mid 50's C if you have a decent cooler.

So i completed 35minutes of Prime95 and highest temp was 58c, also ran the Intel burn test as recommended and highest temp over 20cycles was 63c, not sure what you meant by the vcore the figure mine showed was 1.35-37 it fluctuated up and down sometimes getting down to 1.28, but the i5 downclocks when not using cpu so i guess that is okay.

Am i good to go or should i just stick to stock settings, also will the overclock reduce life of cpu much?

That's pretty good :D

The real heat and volts don't really kick in till 4.6ghz+, I get upto 75C MAX in intel burn test and 68C max prime with 1.38v needed for 4.7 lol

By the way what software can give cpu temp logging while i'm playing BF3?

Wont core temp do that, run it in the background and it should give you the highest temp while playing, that's what i did, and if you have a g15 or equivalent keyboard it shows on the LCD screen all 4 cores and their temps.

+1 for the G15, use this to keep an eye on cpu temps in game, msi afterburner on the osd for gpu's.
