Steam Autumn Sale

Think I have definitely gone over our 40gb download limit! This month got MW3, BF3, Orcs Must Die, Chaos Theory, New Vegas and Endwar.Though haven't got anything from TalkTalk, so I'm just using that as a sign to say I can keep downloading!! :P

Is it possible to view every game thats on offer on one list rather than 10 at a time with it resetting back to 1-10 everytime I click on one to check it?

How unbelievably annoying!

You know the humble bundle version of World of Goo can be activated on Steam?

Dunno if any other versions can, but the HB one definitely can be, because I did it...

I dont have it from humble bundle, I got it from their website when it was on pay however much you want.

Thief: Deadly Shadows

Worth £1.99? Heard nothing but good things about this game, apparently it's like Splinter Cell with an amazing story and some scary bits.

Going for a shower now, I DEMAND an answer when I get back.

I bought that in the last winter sale. For the price its brilliant value. And as someone previously mentioned, the cradle level is rather scary. I think I actually wept a little bit..

Thief 3 is the weakest of the Thief series, but it's still a good game. The level, Shalebridge Cradle is worth the price on Steam all in itself. It's an absolute masterclass in game design.

Deciding whether or not to get Thief. I've had this one before but lost the disk. Never completed it but was great. I wonder if they'll ever make a new one?

Also, what's the best in the series?

Few things I'm gonna pick up:

AvP 79p
Cossacks & American Conquest pack £4.74
Dark Sector £1.74
Nexus The Jupiter Incident £1.49

I-Fluid is not bad for £1, "the PC game that will plunge you into an exciting and unprecedented physics-based adventure where the smallest and most common object can become your worst enemy! In I-Fluid you will experience our everyday life from the eyes of a drop of water!"
Quite original and probably worth picking up if you have kids.

Think buying Kane and Lynch 2 was a mistake. The controls are horrendous! Oh well, might give it another try later but why would I with so many other games on the list...

dungeons of dredmor is quite amazing from the half hour i just spent on it! think it will be a worthy £1.74 spent!
also, capsized is cheap atm. as is trials 2, both great games

Bought Mass Effect (and ME2) on the steam sale. All I can say is that ME is epic :-D Slow in places, but the story, dialogue and voice casting are absolutely top notch. Nothing corny about it at all, and very believable as such. Highly recommended game, very much looking forward to playing ME2 now, and eventually ME3 when it comes out.

Totally different game to what I thought it was, I thought it was this weird physics based game with lots of flying around kinda superman style(ish), but with a spacey theme. Not that at all. Highly recommended. Also, I'd always thought the graphics were dire... but totally blown away with how good they were for the year, and the consistency.

And that's what I was doing up till 5am lol. (Evening the roll credits music is excellent).

(Now just to wake up in 3 hours time.. go to work...)

:x

:x

... Well, I get to throw away my Total War, Spellforce, Morrowind, and Oblivion expansion CDs (I keep the original CE ofc).

DAMN YOU STEAM!

I agree with Mass Effect. I bought it during the last Steam Summer sale. It took me around three new starts to get into the game and after finishing it I wanted more, I was blown away.

Now I've finally got my hands on ME2, which I have been dying to play. I'll get to play it during the Christmas holidays, hence why I'm trying to get my Uni assignments done before the 10th of Dec.

Bring it!

Nice purchases but why does it say that Skyrim is free?

Retail box?

I didnt even look through the strategy games, but I already have the Total War collection, every Civ game, Anno 1404, and the paradox strategy pack which I havnt even touched yet.

Oh, and all the Warhammer 4000 untouched too :x

Commandos complete.

Well worth the 3 quid they wanted.

Couldn't get my original disk to fly with win7, a pound to play the original again... bonus!
