Sometimes I'm ashamed to be British...

Just a hunch

That might or might not be related, you're showing a story there and suggesting it definitely links to the other when it doesn't seem to have any particular tie.

Not sure if serious

So he's a benefit cheat as well as an immigrant, the two things again aren't related. It's also an example of highlighting a single case and trying to illustrate it as being applicable to all.

Also what can she be arrested for? Disturbing the peace?

Disturbing the peace is a useful catch-all but potentially it's also incitement to racial hatred, arguably it could be covered under making inflammatory public speech(es) if the act is drafted suitably loosely.

While her out pour of swear words and racism aren't productive in any way, especially with a child sat on her lap, I do sometimes think there are a lot of people who think that way but just don't voice it.

My personal view though is that immigration is genereally a good thing, different people can bring different things to the country and they should be welcomed. My only concern regarding immigration is the numbers involved, the UK is an island and has finite resources so therefore cannot sustain an excessively large population. Now this is down to births of people here already as well as immigration but what use are we, the UK, if the whole country goes financial **** up.

The other objection to immigration has to be the ease at which some people do seem to be able to get here. For immigration to be a truely advantageous for the country then we need to have good border control - which we don't.

"You ain't English you ain't English, none of you are ******* English." "My Britain is **** all now" "You ain't British your BLACK"...

What a disgusting little cow doing that with the wee one on her knee.

LOL yep, having read the full transcript i was pretty shocked at the utter crap she came out with...shocking stuff really but its to be expected by brain dead morons like her convolutiing our gene pool...whats even more shocking is her little kid sat on her knee...i worry to think what sort of morals and values he will grow up with.

Britain is another word for UK or Great Britain.

England is for England....

Actually Great Britain is PART of the UK. "The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland" is often abbreviated to "the UK". So Britain is all of the UK except Northern Ireland.
Though that's here nor there :P

I'm racist I guess. I hate being told what I can or can't do or say in my own country because some people are too easily offended. That's what I'm racist against. This is our country and you should accept our culture or leave. No one is forcing you to stay. There are certain words which are terrible to say, yes, but others aren't as bad as people make out.

That is not a religious statement I may add. I am agnostic leaning towards aetheist myself so in my eyes ALL religions are wrong. :p

My point is I think people have had enough of being told what they can or can't say or do in this supposedly free country. And what happens is that these people just take this out on these groups of people that they are accused of being racist against.

The UK is a very large island with a relatively small population. The only thing you see here is gross mismanagement of human resources on the government level. The country is far from overcrowded. The World isn't overcrowded either. There is just a lot of wastage and mismanagement. The idea that the planet is overpopulated is a myth spread through ignorance and through organisations who stand to benefit from perpetuating the myth. The entire World's population of 7+ billion people can fit into the state of Texas and have a population density equivalent to that of New York City. That leaves the entire planet's surface and all its resources to support that one city the size of Texas.

Think about that for a bit. Let it sink in. You will realise that what we need is better tools and approaches to managing ourselves better. Better use of resources, including human resources, distribution of wealth to take care of the basic needs of everyone, working towards positive ends, instead of worrying and whinging, baselessly about how there are too many people, and thinking up ways to cull those numbers.

Another interesting figure is that while people starved and died recently in Sub-saharan Africa, America continues, famously, to spend more on weightloss than the rest of the world does on food.

TBH, who gives a ****?
It's not affecting anyone. This outburst by this bigotted cow is affecting everyone around her. People have a reasonable amount of choice on whether they come on these forums or not. The people on the tram didn't. The tram is the only practical way to get from Wimbledon to Croydon.

This woman was abusing others with her words. Whilst that's an infringement on free speech, I feel it's justified.

But there does come a point where it becomes unacceptable to say certain things. That woman crossed the line. She was saying that all immigrants are bad because they're taking "her" Britain over. She was discriminating against them simply because of colour. That's clearly wrong

The woman was rude and unnecessarily abusive, that is simply unacceptable in a modern society and regardless of your views on immigration surely everyone can see that....

Nicaragua is a beautiful country and i bet this pleb doesn't even know how to spell it let alone know where it is on the map

Was the woman racist in your opinion may I ask?

had she said essentially the same thing, except with points to back her opinion up, would you feel the same way?

Just curious ;)

I think she backed up her own points subjectively and that's the problem, there were a lot of black people on the bus and that's enough to rant and rave about everything. When people justify their logic like that, how are people going to feel about their racism in either event?

How can you back up or evidence "**** off home" an so forth anyway?

"This woman was abusing others with her words. Whilst that's an infringement on free speech, I feel it's justified"

I agree freedom of speech is always curtailed in a civilised society......she was causing fear and alarm and that has always been a catch all for breach of the peace. AS to this racially aggravated part .....as long as it works both ways thats fine......but does it ??

Freedom is never free .....we have had to fight and die for all our freedoms , history is replete with examples. But with freedom comes responsibilities to obey the law and behave lawfully. The law in turn should apply to all whatever race , creed or position. My opinion for all it is worth

If anyone has something to say, in a calm, reasoned and objective way, with sufficient evidence and data to support their view then I am willing to listen to them.

Simply attacking people, using abusive and offensive language especially in front of her own (and others) children, for what appears to be no real reason and equating someone's colour with their right to travel on the tram is nothing more than a public order offence.

Racially motivated at that too.. (I know it goes without saying, but I thought I'd highlight it ;))
