Anyone using a ASUS Xonar DX****No sound coming from front audio panel****

I have a DX, its a fantastic card, I m not using my desktop atm as its parked up for the time being till I sort myself out.

the drivers have been fine for me, I used to have a XFI but was was very problemmatic with drivers

Uninstalled the unified drivers, and installed the official Asus ones. All my problems have been fixed! Strangely enough... Sound sounds better too... hmm...

I just used the latest official Asus ones with mine and have had no problems at all :D not even going to bother with the unified drivers.

Well the only annoying thing with the official ones is a wierd echo when I use my 5.1 headset. So stuck my headset to the onboard as I only use it for gaming. Using my other standard headphones and speakers with the Xonar so I can make full use of it when playing music/watching movies :).

As posted above, you need to select FP Headphone in the Analog out dropdown in the Xonar Audio center.

I had the same "problem" when I got my first Xonar.

I now have 2 Xonars (DX and DG) and cannot fault them.

IIRC the unified drivers solve the problems for 5.1 headsets, not a problem for me anymore as i switched to a stero pair and use dolby headphone, sounds much better :)

Using the uni drivers here on a DX, found the last officials to sound a bit tinny in bf3, cracking sound card, bf3 sounds fantastic through my goldring ns1000's. Turn on anr and literally get blown away.
