Spec me a perfume

Can't describe them for you but my missus loves Trish McEvoy - Blackberry and Vanilla and more recently the Jimmy Choo perfume.

Good excuse to chat up the women who work in perfume sections ;)

Just go in, look clueless, ask for a bit of help, glance a few cheeky looks, make the odd innuendo, come away with the right perfume, profit??

I've always liked Chanel No5 it's a nice smell, but I'd never wear it myself as I always think it smells like an older womans perfume. Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey is nice and fresh I think.

No, not for me! :p

I have been tasked with getting my good lady a perfume for her impending Birthday and she has given me a brief. Now I know most of you chaps may be of no use at all, but I know a couple of you may have ladies in your lives and I am hoping to tap into this knowledge, as well as any lady posters.

The brief is that it must be modern, fresh, light - nothing heavy, over-powering or musky.

Now I know I should go out and sniff one down myself but I need some pointers.

Thank you please. :D

Clive Christian :D

serious answer - jimmy choo perfume is light and sort of fruity. as is juicy couture (i work on beauty and frangrance in selfridges so get to wear a different perfume every day!)

Britney - Summer or something like that isn't bad I don't think. Might be what you're looking for. Go out and sniff :p

If you buy everyones suggestions you could spend less with buying a woman to choose the perfume for you...

Well I sniffed out loads the other night. The lady at the counter was impressed with my online searching, as I was kind of set on either Jimmy Choo, or Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau SO Fresh.

After a good half an hour of sniffing, there is a clear winner and it is the Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau SO Fresh.

This stuff smells so nice I would wear it myself. :D:o

Highly recommended and the bottle looks really cool as well.

Takes a very rubbish man to be still trying desperately after half an hour ;)
