448 vs 570

So 448 has been released today, not pleased on the pricing realy since it's similar to the gtx 570 and I'm guessing it has a decrease in performance from it.

So my question is 570 vs 448 what should I get???

I have a 600watt cool master PSU.

If any what are the benefits of the 448 since it's very similar to 570 I believe.

Also about temps, If I decided to go with a 570 what card would be the best for the lowest price?? things like temps and power consumption. Thanks

@Rroff, If I could get a brand new card I'd take that over a 470 and isn't 470 weaker than 570?

What 570 would you recommend getting then? I'm concerned about the size of the card and the power and connections.
 
The gtx570 is superior to the new ti560 and the gtx470. I think what rroff is saying sarcastically is the new ti is effectively the same as a gtx470 apart from the clock speeds.
 
From what I've seen the 560ti 448 performs as well as the 570 with marginal differences, but is £20 cheaper than a 570. I'd say get a 570 as after overclock, it would perform better than the 560ti 448.

Get a Asus GeForce GTX 570 DirectCU II, best cooler and bundle in general.

It was 50% sarcasm 50% serious - aside from the heat/noise/power aspect a GTX470 overclocked will give pretty much same performance, if you can source a a 470 cheap and better yet stick an aftermarket cooler on it and a good overclock you'll easily match or beat stock GTX480 performance.

Otherwise given how close the prices are I'd buy the GTX570.
 
The NEW 560ti will be most likely sub £170 in a month's time when the AMD card's launch, 570gtx's will be cheaper, as will "old" 560ti 2gb's.

You'll either be able to afford a much faster card for the same money, or get the same card and save a lot of money....... wait a bit ;)

What do you see the 570 dropping to in a few months time? I was thinking about this today because I plan on buying a card in the next few days.

To take one example, the GTX 460 is still £120 and that's a year after the 5-series came out. I can't see the 570 dropping below £190 even at the very end of the line.
 
570, the price for the 560 448 are far too steep to even consider. £240 for a 560 448 when there is a "this week" offer of a 570 for £240 as well!
 
To think that the MSI N570GTX Twin Frozr III Power Edition/OC was £253 from OcUK 3 months ago. Now it is £315:eek:
