If you want to abolish racism then you have to agree with Hitler, one unified race where everyone looks the same, how can you be racist if you all have blonde hair and blue eyes?
As long as we are allowed to think/look/act differently there will be disputes.

“Being Irish probably doesn’t help either. It’s just the way it is up here.”

Of course Hitler's method would have helped to abolish racism (ironically by way extreme racism), but don't act like that's the only method.
The other method is education, teach people that skin colour is simply down to genes such as the gene that controls melanin production. This would stop people being STUPID. Reducing stupidity would help reduce racism, while allowing for different races to live together.
That is a shame, I have seen very little. You will need to give me some time to recap it's not cencus data but I'm still looking. The Scottish demographic is circa 85% "Scottish White", but that does not account for people adopting nationallity. I'm still looking and will come back to you.
Yes. They are different issues and the thread is more primarility with British-English Identity than Scottish. Both have issues, however the Scottish compononent can be used in comparison to show that multiculturalism can be considered a success when people are relatively confortable in their surroundings and don't feel threatened by the national identity.
Football sectarianism and thuggery is digusting and the more people refuse to accept their awful behavour in modern society the more pressure that will come to bear on their destructive ways. There are multiple inputs to the problem, and I don't think anyone has shown any complacency over the issues facing Scotland today. I'm not ignorant of anything, but you seem to be rather bitter at those who show pride in the Scottish nationallity sadly.

Won't work, you can't change everyone's opinion/believe just by educating them. Some people are just ignorant and refuse to even listen to anothers opinion, believing that their opinion is the correct/only answer....again, sounds like Hitler lol

You can't do it instantly, but you can do it over time. The world has become more tolerant over time of races, and will continue to do so. Hundreds of years ago, people were taken into slavery because of the colour of their skin. We've come a long way as people, and will continue to do so.

Again, I think I'm a bit wiser to the problem than you think and it is not as endemic in civil society as you seem to have got the impression of. That is in no way to undermine the serious and pressing issues seen in areas of Scotland that need to be stamped out.

I sense you are full of hatred and anger myself and you do seem to have a problem with someone who is Scottish taking pride in that fact, and I will post it when I find it.

Racism/intolerance/xenophobia happens anywhere and everywhere. I experienced negative treatment whilst in Primary school because I was 'English'. However, do I think that was because Scotland is generally intolerant, or was it because the teacher that caused the issues was a ****? I'm going for the latter.
Scotland isn't some mass pit of intolerance with everyone hating everyone. Yes, there are problems with sectarianism but if you do experience that in the way that it is detrimental to you and your life then you're the exception.
JUMPURS seems very, very angry about something. Don't take his biased view as representative of Scotland.
If I got all my morals from my parents, i'd be extremely homophobic.
So no, kids don't take all morals from parents. As the UK has excellent, free education, it helps kids make their own morals

This ain't a dig at you or anything, but I find a lot of extreme Unionists - away from here - act like that when Scottish nationallity seems to have stepped outside of its predetermined box.
