Sometimes I'm ashamed to be British...

I'm still looking for the surrounding article give me a bit! It's not that much of a stretch to see another 15% for co-opted identity I just need to find it all.

Another 15%?? That's three quarters of a million people! Sure in China that may be an understandable margin of error, but a country with 5m, i'd be sending that report back and asking for my money back.

Yes thanks, and it's meaningless without input or context.

Just read the definition of what it is, and see it has nothing to do with 'what people identify with'

Here, from the first line "is used to indicate the reliability of an estimate."

Right, wasn't aware there was a surrounding article.

For now, those figures seem to suggest that in 2010 there were 4824 thousand people in Scotland who were born in the UK and 326 thousand that were born outside the UK. That gives us a total of 5150 thousand (5.15million people altogether, which seems reasonable). My dodgy maths shows that in Scotland 6.76% of the population were born outwith the UK.

A significant amount of it will be intra-UK movement which is the difference here, I'm still trying to find the sources. I could have course be wrong but I don't think I am, I'll find it soon enough!

Why would I apologise to you? For asking for an apology for your behavour and attitude irrespective?

Politeness is a free virture.

For getting all uppity, your demanding of an apology and your 'i can't help it if you can't read' comment.

At the very least i would probably settle for a 'Oopps i was wrong' ;)

I never got uppity with you, you came in out of no where with a hateful and abusive tone that was clearly without any direct provocation to you.

Those stastics show a large margin of error within, for various reasons if you accept their veracity or not. That's what I'm pointing to, I just can't yet find the supporting documents but your impatience will not hurry it up.

No i came and said Scotland isn't the fantastic place that you are painting it to be.

You are backtracking tbh.

30% not born in Scotland? I think your having a giraff there.

And proud to feel Scottish? The most racist bigoted country in the world eh??

Prove your 30% bull

Scotland is a hole and racism and bigotry much worse than some woman ranting on a tram is evident every day.

In contrast..

Don't dispute this, but got a source?

I can certainly see a massive difference in personallity between a civil discussion and an impolite tirade of abuse and negativity.

Backtracking? I think you'll find that's you. I still find it increadible that you really are a Scotsman.

Yea, but what you're forgetting Biohazard is that I'm English. :D Therefore I'm not a bigoted racist, like every single person in Scotland is. Apparently.

I jest.

"Biohazard in Scotland argument shocker"

I've read all the posts on this page and still don't really know what the original debate was? Something to do with immigrants I guess.

Why can't we all just shake hands and play skyrim?

Notsureifsrs.jpg.

Racism/intolerance/xenophobia happens anywhere and everywhere. I experienced negative treatment whilst in Primary school because I was 'English'. However, do I think that was because Scotland is generally intolerant, or was it because the teacher that caused the issues was a ****? I'm going for the latter.

Scotland isn't some mass pit of intolerance with everyone hating everyone. Yes, there are problems with sectarianism but if you do experience that in the way that it is detrimental to you and your life then you're the exception.

JUMPURS seems very, very angry about something. Don't take his biased view as representative of Scotland.

Well that's good to know, I am serious, still in its early stages , I need a bit more recon first :)

Sorry for being negative and seeing through all the nonsense. I still think Scotland is a hole and Scotland has many deep rooted problems within society, and i get annoyed when people go on about how great we are and how integrated we are, when really, we aren't. Maybe i've just seen the other side of Scotland, maybe you have just seen yer lovely wee shortbread Scotland. But like i said, if me moaning about the ugly side of Scotland helps make Scotland a better place, then i'll moan all day long.

You can find it as incredible as you want, fact of the matter is i have been a Scotsman longer than you too!

Maybe you should move then if you think your surrounding area is nothing but crap because you certainly sound like you have a bitter life right enough.

I don't think your moaning achieves anything other than offending others. Your comments don't reflect reality unless you have been misfortunate to live a very poor life in a very poor area. That isn't the majority of people who have to undergo such trauma, and if you genuinely are Scottish that's why things have to get better.
