Roccat Kave or Turtle Beach z6a what should i buy

just wondering which would be the best to buy....or is there another set of headphones out there that you can use the 5.1 of your soundcard....rather than a usb one built in thanks. Or should i just get a normal set with out the 5.1 ?

Well went and bought a set of z6a....and i cant believe the quality it is rubbish...half way on volume it sounded ok....you turn it up a little and it starts to hiss and distort...took them straight back so i personally would not recommend these to anyone.
 
What's your budget???

My Goldrings NS1000 have cracked and seeing that Play.com are currently not going to issue me a replacement set ( I am pushing for a refund now) I have got myself the Beyerdynamics DT770 250 ohms for around £122 and just as I am typing this my Asus Xonar Essence STX have been delivered from OCUK :)

I had the Roccat Kave 5.1 before and they died on me within 7-8 months since then I have gone down the decent headphone and seperate mic route and I can honestly say that the Roccat Kaves are **** when compared to any stereo headphone.

I would have recommended the Goldrings NS1000 as they were very decent for the price when paired with a Filo E5 amp but the build quality was very poor on them.
 
a Filo E5 amp are they worth getting.....i have a sony set a £30 they were and they are far better than the z6as...so is it worth getting the amp to pair ?

I would imagine it would but it all depends on your headphones.
If you want I can send you my Filo E5 amp for you to try seeing as I don't need it now because I have the Beyerdynamics DT770 pro.
 
Thats great off you to offer to do that mate id be grateful for that.....do you want me to trust you my name and adrress....for you to send...i could also pay for the cost of delivery as well if you use paypal mate....as long as the mods dont object to this thanks.

Odd I've got it and I havent had any trouble, maybe a bad pair?

what on earth would you know about headsets/audio quality........

:p my kaves rock :) granted there arte better headsets out there but they are decent. maybe yours would sound better badboy if you stopped throwing them out the window when you rage on bf3 ;)
 
Thanks mr zippo works great and works excellent with my Z5500 control as well so i can run headphones from it thanks again.
 
I have Kaves, worse headset ever. Too heavy, lack of quality . . .any recommendations for overall comfort and sound quality for music, movies and gaming ?? (Micro not necessary)
