I personally think that jets and heli's are given too much of an advantage against stingers.

However I have found a more efficient way to gamble when fireing the missle.

You have to wait to fire the missle when the aircraft is close by, and then basically the missle will be inside the redirection area of the flares and strike the aircraft...... some of the time.

The best way is to have two of you firing almost simultaneously

You need one to get them to deploy flares, and another ready to launch just after the pilot has dropped their flares.

The flares seem to break the lock for me.

It'll only take a second for the flares to clear your field of view and then you can lock on again. If you're fast and a bit lucky you can get two Stinger hits before they have their flares reloaded.

they will do, but you should be able to lock on again and fire quicker than his flares can reload, if you yourself don't have to wait for your stinger to reload.

Yup, which is one of the main factors that gives the flares time to reload, that coupled with stealth. No doubt dice will try and readdress this in the next patch, should be interesting to see if they go pre patch stinger or some other random direction.

think of the ammo youll save. As for Greebo, i mustve wasted 10 rounds trying to snipe him of the tower that round. Managed to take out the spawn beacon next to him though.

Gotta work on my sniping.

I hope I don't speak too soon, but after never being able to get into a game I decided to move the folder over to my Win 7 64bit installation and it went in fine. Finally manged to get to play with little issue.

Just unlocked IRNV - what a game changer thats been for me, before I had it i thought it gave an unfair advantage - now i Know it does! (but since I've got it, it can stay)

I used the IRNV on my M249 on the highway map before, didn't really have the range I was after. Actually being able to see people was nice though

Ive found the irnv to be good for spotting, but as a scope for any sort of medium/long range it's useless. Been trying a x6 scope on some of the assault rifles, pretty good when coupled with a bipod for distance shooting.

Are you certain your internet connection is solid? Do you play any other online games at the moment and do they work fine?

You may not even notice a short internet drop-out during internet browsing, but it definitely would be the most probable cause of connection timeouts in some games.

Maybe try running pingtest.

TDM's are just a bit of a waste of time, the maps are far too small, choke points everywhere, campfests. You even get enemy players spawning right next to you at the start of the game and during. It's just utterly stupid. The only thing it is 'good' for is points whoring.

The tactical light is really, REALLY getting on my nerves. It just isn't representative of real life. Why Dice thought that was a good idea is beyond me.

Dont forget to hold your breath using IRNV scope and 4-5 round bursting your SAW or other silly high rof weapon.

I like flying the attack choppers in the Battlefield games, so I tried to make a decent run showing off my "skills". It's not a perfect run but I'd like to see more videos similar to this. I know there's others out there that like flying the choppers on crazy routes around maps, so link me some videos of you guys or people you know doing some cool flying.

Anyways, here's the video I made today.
