Asus srtiker ii extreme ,qx9770(crossfire)

Hello ans thx for reading,

I have the above mobo http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_775/Striker_II_Extreme/#overview

Now i have had this rig for ages im currently running a hd 6850 in and want to put another one in now i know this used to be a big no no and its a nivnda mobo

But does CCC now allow u to do this as i see people saying any mobo will let u run crossfire on now?

no, you could on the first Striker with a BIOS from a HP Blackbird, but not the II. I wouldn't recommend crossfire anyway, and I had CF 5870s

Thanks im looking into building a newrig tbh but not to sure weather to wait it out untill next gen processors and mobos or grab a i7 or amd bulldozer

I had a striker mk I on my previous rig, without a doubt the most unstable POS I have ever owned, drop kicked that sucker to the bin once I got my SB rig, I couldnt bring myself to inflict it on anyone else
