Am I living in a completely mad world?

Whilst we are on the subject, what about those people who insist on using old, inefficcient cars, with shoddy brakes (and therefore dangerous braking distances), and crappy thin tyres on the same highway as those of us with cars that actually work well... oh wait ;)

Hey, mine may be old but i at least have decent tyres, now brakes, woa made of cheese! My Capri was even worse!

Out of everything out there you chose some minor UI problems in word and the positioning of bus stops? Really? Those are the things that make you think we live in a mad world?

Office 2010 is a vast improvement over 2003. Spend your time learning instead of whinging and you might find you like the changes...

This one guy where i work has sent me at least five emails regarding windows 7 fonts and had me reading forums, where i found 100s if not 1000s of people and many angry blog posts about windows 7 fonts. The guy even switched everything back to windows xp look and i messed with the refresh rates. He has disabled everything he can regarding clear type now, still now happy. Keeps mentioning it.

Pick axe + back of his head = solution.

It was a cheap dig at my classic motoring.

Stop saying 'Really?' like that. It's not cool any more.

And what's with Office 2010? Aside from the fact that EVERYTHING has moved and it's all now completely blurred due to Cleartype font rendering, HOW can this be more efficient? So we've moved from a legacy of a system that wasn't very efficient to use and got improved over time, but now NOTHING is in an intuitive place. I go to click the Send button on an email and there's a great big Paste button in the natural place I'd expect to find Send. Who dreams this stuff up? I couldn't even make it up if I tried.

Dont work in Frimley do you :P

Moving all our PC's over to office 2010...everyone hates it!

No.

And who in IT thought it would be a good idea to disable the option to turn off the 'check outgoing emails' spell check? GRARRRGGGHHH!!!!!

I'm going to set up a room of monkeys typing randomly and hitting send (not paste) and adding all their random typing to the dictionary as new words. Eventually, technically, it'll stop bothering me.

I actually quite like Office 2010. But I guess that's a young and hip thing. My parents hate it. Don't like that what they've learnt has changed...

Which apparently made you discount the rest of my post, but oh well.

It wasn't really a "dig" either, just pointing out that people are different, and as such will complain about different things.

As for the bus stop issue, won't the sign just get run over by the bus? If it were the the way then wouldn't it be difficult to see it or something? There must be a reason.
