Its time for the BBC to sack Clarkson?

Does this really need to be 4 pages long, I don't even know why the BBC has a complaints department. With the addition of freeview it's simple to avoid watching X-Factor and any crappy Essex-esq program, there is no reason to ever complain about whats on TV, after all, they all have power switches....

Because people just love engaging in a race to the bottom in their feelings that everyone should be as hard done by as they are, regardless of the circumstances.

It's also easier to say "rabble rabble bloody public sector workers" than the quite a bit longer "rabble rabble bloody public sector workers; well, maybe except nurses, emergency service crews, teachers and anyone who isn't a needless middle-or-upper management paper pusher...".
 
Why the hell was on the one show anyway? I don't watch it I tend to find it a bit mamby-pamby and just caught it at the end of the news.

It's what he does he's close to the bone with an element of truth, should they be shot? No. Should they be thankful they have a job with a guaranteed good pension. Yes they bloody should.

I thought his comments on the train suicides were far worse. Personally I would shoot the union bosses though.
 
typical clarkson really. throw away comment. Not very intelligent and OTT.

Dont think he should be sacked for this. Says worse on Top Gear.

I don't hate the public sector but typically my dealings with it are frustrating given a general lack of urgency, delusions of adequacy of those I come into contact with and the tedious amount of red tape there always seems to be. Not hate, more disdain.
 
Of course he shouldn't, he's not doing the news, he doesn't have to be impartial.
He says what he thinks in a unpolitical way. It's refreshing tbh. To much can't say this or that.

Would I want him in charge, or think his "idea"(jokes) are what we need to enact of course not. However he is entertaining and he pulls huge numbers of watchers in with topgear.

I'll just leave this here as well, it's used to often but Muhhh

Oh and other people getting sacked is a shame as well. Bending over for about 5 co plants. Then the media get involved and two weeks later there's thousands of complaints. Complaints should have a time limit on.

People can say what they want...And I wouldn't care if he had said it on ITV

Fact is, this tool is employed by the BBC and I pay my license fee.

What do you fail to understand?

The BBC should not be a platform to Broadcast this crap...If they do then get funding through adverts not through my wallet.

The BBC's ethic is based on Reithian Values to Educate,Entertain and Inform.

Some fat lard arse on the sofa thinking of shocking things to say and how to offend people is Bad quality Broadcasting.

And I won't stand for it. If it's not for the people caring about what is Broadcast then we are doomed to Crap on TV.

I fund them, We fund them and they should sack this tool as he offers nothing to anything.

If I want to look at 3 dickheads spouting crap on TV and licking each other all over in hidden places then I'll watch Top Gear.

The one show is family viewing so I fail to understand what you all don't get....

Can he tell the Aristocrats Joke pre water shed cause its a joke?

Obviously it's a generalisation, but this attitude towards work is more pervasive among the public sector workers, than the private sector workers (dont get me wrong, there's a whole bunch of useless jobsworths wherever you go)

If I don't work, I don't get paid.
If I don;t work well, I get laid off in a week with no other reprecussions to my employer.
If I don't save my money, I'll eat cat food as an old person.

For these reasons, as a private worker, I do expect to get paid more money for what I do than a public sector worker.

...Nobody is forcing you to have a TV license, just don't watch it and save your self money, stop bitching and go outside

Its a family show broadcast weekdays on BBC 1

It was Prejudice and a generalisation that incited violence regardless of wether anyone took it seriously or not.

On a show I pay for.

I would argue anyone defending him is silly...
 
awww come on now where did his comments incite violence,

do you honestly believe there are people out there who will go out and shoot public servants because someone on tv suggested it

I watch other things on the BBC Like Frozen Planet etc... and I enjoy the One show...

I shouldn't have to turn off my TV at prime time just because some tool spouts crap about something he knows little about with his 1 million salary.

I have a right to complain about the service the BBC provides...Just like I have a right to complain about a fly in my soup at a restaurant.
