Its time for the BBC to sack Clarkson?

When have I flattered him?

Don't you mean my distaste for people trying to govern and ban bad jokes and other fundamental rights.

Tbh i'm more outraged that nurses, ambulance drivers are even allowed to strike surely putting lives at risk or atleast unnecessary suffering than some big mouth reeling in moaners on a tv show.

Well not every nurse/paramedic is a member of Unison and not every member of Unison striked. Also emergency cover was fine.

Bad Jokes are fine in the correct context...

How many times

Perhaps you should take what he said in context, especially the bit before the joke and also take in context of who and what he is.

Still 4.4million viewers ~5000 complaints. You're in the majority. Grow some balls.

No arguement again.

So being clarkson gives you "special rights" to say what you want regardless of timeslot?

You've already said times lot isn't an issue, but you keep harping on about it.

Doesn't give him any rights, nor does it give you rights to try and get stuff banned.
He isn't a news presenter, he isn't in any obligation to be factual or refrain from contrevisual comments. He didn't swear.
He was also asked the question, he didn't just come out with it.
The presenters and behind the sepcene team knows exactly what he's like.

Why do you never reply to the vetting process and blame it all on JC, your arguments are not consisten and your hatred of him is plain to see and self confessed. That along with the lack of complaints should tell you that you should be the one having a rethink, along with the shows vetting process, if they didn't like the comments.

He's not going to get sacked. Nothing's going to happen and in a week or two everyone will off forgotten about. Really caused offence when people won't even remember it.

He was asked the Question and could have answered it responsibly

Or wander it the way he always does.
And he should have been better and/or questions should have been vetted.
Rules laid down etc.

This is just like when rage against the machine swore on breakfast radio. I'm fact it's not even that bad, as they were asked not to swear, clakson wasn't told to do anything.

It's obviuse what was going to happen. In both situations, they have got untold free advertising.

Having read this topic, this whole issue shows what's wrong with our planet these days. No, it's not Jeremy Clarkson, it's people who become offended and demand justice for most bizarre reasons. On top of all these people complaining about non-issues, we have so many goddamn organizations whose only job is to find flaws and mistakes to complain about.

That clip from Steve Hughes perfectly describes the issue (post #108 on this topic). Maybe I'll go the Clarkson route and say we need a new Hitler & World War 3 so that people have bigger issues to worry about than this.

Is it possible to undo a post in a thread? I keep thinking there's something worth reading in here every time I see the "new posts" icon. I wish I'd never bothered.

Alternatively, you could all go back to GD.

Russ Brand was fired for a lot less than what this guy has said whilst working at the BBC

Thats because Russ Brand is a knobber:p...i like Clarkson and he does have point but wouldnt go as far as shooting them...sack the workshy muppets isa better option.
