Hey guys...

Im looking for a new graphics card(s) but I am really lost.... I can budget up to £500 so I'm looking for the biggest bang I can get, I would like 2 GB min since I will be running 2 x 27" monitors. I would also like to know what would be the size of the PSU I would need (I am looking to overclock my i7 920 to 4 Ghz)

I have tried to narrow it down myself but am not confident enough to buy yet...

2 x MSI GeForce GTX 560Ti OC Twin FrozR II 2048MB in SLI

or

1 x Gainward GeForce GTX 580 "Phantom" 3072MB

I have no experience in this kind of thing so any guidance you care to offer would be great,

Many thanks.

Krafty

EDIT:

My spec:
GigaByte X58A-UDR3R
6GB TriChan RAM
i7 920 2.66 Ghz
902 Antec Case

If you can hang off for a month or 2, the 7 series AMD cards will be rolling out which are expected to be quite tasty.

If you absolutely must spend your money just now, I'd be looking at

a) http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-147-EA

or

b) 2x http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-036-HS&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1752 and with left over money, buy a decent psu if you don't already have 1 - you want around 750 minimum I would think (someone will no doubt correct me)

I know that on a x58-ud5 that 2 dual slot cards are a tigh fit inside an Antec P-180, so looking at the ud3r I imagine that even using the lower pci-e slot and the upper you might get away with 2 triple slot cards, but I'm unsure if they are all 16 lanes and in any case, I am unsure if the lower slot would be impeded due to psu.

I have basically the same set-up. Squeezing two cards into that board is possible, but only if your water cooling them. The 2nd card will cut off any airflow to the 1st, therefore they will just overheat.

Keep us posted about your CPU overclock, would be interested in pushing mine up to 4 as well.
