3000 is IIRC ~twice as fast as 2000, and is definitely the one you want.
To be fair, compared to the integrated graphics we've put up with for the past decade, the HD2000 and 3000 are actually quite decent, and okay-ish for low detail gaming at lower resolutions.
They basically make the low-end HTPC cards redundant.
But something like a GTX550/HD6750 would utterly walk all over them, and then some.
Seems like they're trying to compete against Llano better.
