Its time for the BBC to sack Clarkson?

So being clarkson gives you "special rights" to say what you want regardless of timeslot?

Everybody knows what Clarkson is like and whoever invites him onto a show knows that he will gob off, therefore you should be blaming the people who invited him.
In the 70s/80s we had Olived Reed and everybody tuned in hoping he would come on drunk (and he usually did and the following day people were apologising).
Yes, Clarkson is a gob ***** but you're blaming the wrong person.

Few things.

Jeremy is funny. Universally funny. You might not appreciate him being funny but his shows are syndicated to more countries than any other BBC program with exception of news and Attenborough's documentaries. Think of a name of your favourite British comedian. Now let's go anywhere in Europe and ask if they know your comedian. And then let's ask them about Jezza. I bet you your TV license, most will have no clue who your comedian is, but most will know who Clarkson is. The further you go, the more of them might not know what BBC is, but they will know Top Gear logo. Because, you see, that's how funny Jeremy is.

Just because you pay for service, it doesn't mean you have to, or even should be, offended by personal views of people featured as part of that service. You need to get a grip. Look, I pay for the internet and I read most of this thread and I found hardhat stubbornness of Jezza haters in this thread borderline offensive. It offends my common sense. Should I call ofcom to complain? Probably not.

The whole "family program", "daddy what's an execution" thing. This is equivalent to the "I'm 12 years old and what is this". You'll be lucky if it doesn't end up as a meme.

Timing of the comment. There is more offensive rubbish on news programs shared by so called "experts" through out most of the day that Jeremy could ever manage during any of his book or DVD tours.

Finnaly Jezzas comment itself. True story. Given economic situation the leaders behind striking members of the public sector should be executed. There. Now Jeremy represents view shared by a larger group. And as such, I would like to thank public media for sparing few moments of prime time access for our representation to voice opinion. There. Sorted.

Now, because democracy, and all that, we are going to have a quick vote. For the good of the rest 99.95 of us - the occassional one show watchers - a vote - should easyrider stop watching BBC and stop paying his license and thus forfeit entitlement to whinge about 2 second jest comment by a guest known for his dry humour made on an entertainment show?
;)

So JC has no control of his bodily functions?

You honestly believe this?

The internet is free...You pay for the connection....That's the distinction

This makes no sense

Timing of the comment. There is more offensive rubbish on news programs shared by so called "experts" through out most of the day that Jeremy could ever manage during any of his book or DVD tours.

So you agree it was offensive rubbish?

Thats reflective intent....Based on reflective practise of you....No connection to what "Jezzer" said

Again missing the point... Dry Humour now? I thought it was satire? Or is it Just BS? Or is it Pathetic contirved driven manifest shock to make the Fat Bar steward feel better about himself?

Stay in China JC They will love you long time

What is the point then? If we agree that he is not to be taken seriously, then why are we even remotely concerned about what he says?

Surely only butthurt civil servants care at this point

It's Clarkson

The man has made a career out of being an arse. He is exceptionally good at it ;)

Easyrider should be ashamed for watching the one show, its garbage. "And now, a story about a man who took the wrong exit on the motorway, and got lost!"

Its people like this who like clarkson....Clearly uneducated petrol heads

I'd say somebody who cannot spot a clear joke is more likely to fall into the "uneducated" baracket, or perhaps, just plain sad.

Clarkson has achieved something previous presenters have failed - he made me actually look up "The One Show":p

Do some research before posting BS

I would recommend you do the same as you appear to have posted a fair few inaccuracies yourself, especially regarding Clarkson's salary.

And if you're going to have a playground tantrum and starting name calling because others share a different view, don't expect people to take you seriously; which appears to be the case over the last 10 pages.

You honestly believe this?

Actually true and proved on a number of occassions.

As I said in another thread anyone who actually takes an active proper anti-JC stance probably takes themselves way to seriously (and prossibly has inferiority issues), hes a plonker but a completely harmless and light hearted one and I'd rather they sacked just about anyone else at the BBC first.

The quality of some of the replies in this thread from the people supporting Clarkson...Merely supports my theory of the uneducated lapping him up.

bit desperate playing the race card isnt it?

people need to chill out it was a joke

I see a lot of Love for Jeremy here and maybe 2 very insecure ppl here who obviously hate there lifes. As I said before *Jeremy For President!!*

I find him entertaining, he said something funny. Not like he went out and started killing people. I can see the joke behind it, unfortunately other people cannot.

Then again, I am a uneducated fool which knows nothing.
