Im sorry but the headline really did amuse me this morning!!

Academics at the Majlis al-Ifta' al-A'ala, which is Saudi Arabia's highest religious council, said the relaxation of the rules would inevitably lead to “no more virgins”.

How do they find these 'professionals' and better yet, how the hell do they get to these conclusions!

So the cure to teenage pregnancy in the UK would be to stop all women driving?
I think the only thing we might resolve is the amount of terrible parking :p

It warned that allowing women to drive would "provoke a surge in prostitution, pornography, homosexuality and divorce".

England in the 1600s was far more rational regarding gendered roles and restrictions than Saudi Arabia is today.

If your mind is blown by the degree of anti-female sexism in Saudi Arabia, you must be very ignorant. It's not as though it's been kept secret until now - they're proud of it.
 
Where I work, we have Saudi arabian air force staff come over to learn from us and sometimes the odd one will get themselves a car for while they're here.

Absolutely mental drivers. I can fully understand why they're making up any excuse they can to stop women driving over there after seeing what the blokes are like.
