Clarkson and Overreacting

I'm astounded it has got this far.

He exaggerates constantly be it in a media article or TV and for Unison to seek legal advice is even more astounding.

Are you really astounded?

The unions and their mind-slaves have to try and blow everything out of proportion to try and garner attention, they always do.

On a slightly unrelated note; I wish I had a mind slave. Especially a hot female one. This life is so unfair!

Seriously some people are strange. It was clearly a tongue in cheek comment, it's also Clarkson, reknown for being OTT. Seriously all those people moaning - get over yourselves!

I'm in a union and found it quite funny.

But in the interests of a balanced opinon I'd like to tie him to the back of my car and drag him round the streets of Rotherham for a couple of hours, then set fire to his corpse.

I find the whole thing strangely reminiscent of South Park. The adults all overreacting upon nothing while the kids stand by going 'wtf' and plodding along as best they can, being way more sensible and mature than the people who are supposed to be protecting and looking out for them. The South Park social commentary of dumb herd mentality is really spot on.

I think they should give everybody who has complained a free 1 day pass to alton towers. That or a swingers party. Either way, get some of that sand out of their vaginas.

Same here. While I agree this should just have been ignored (don't feed the troll), the fact remains he is an idiot on a ridiculous salary paid by the tax payer, so who is he to talk?
I saw the comedian Steve Coogan (Alan Partridge) at least took him on in this column: http://www.guardian.co.uk/tv-and-radio/2011/feb/05/top-gear-offensive-steve-coogan?fb=optOut and there is a funny sketch by Stewart Lee: ("I can't work out which of the 3 Top Gear presenters I despise the most. You'd think it'd be Jeremy Clarkson with his outrageous politicallly incorrect opinions which he has every week to a deadline in the Sunday Times")

I support that people are trying to secure their financial future, by striking...

.. so why aren't they picketting? Most of the people I know have been harping on about Christmas shopping or getting drunk on their day off. Hardly commited to the strike, they're treating it like it's a paid day off

Who listens to Clarkson's opinion? LOL

This is what is so sad- people cannot take a joke these days. Sure, the actual literal comment is a bit overboard, but I highly doubt anyone in the UK these days doesn't know of Jeremy's style of humour. Of course he wouldn't want them actually shot. He writes this sort of humour every week to the entertainment of thousands, if not, millions of newspaper readers- But suddenly, when the unions realise they have a chance to keep the strikes going in the news, they simply use Jeremy as an excuse to throw the toys out even more.

But let's face it- the BBC will never chuck Jeremy, he's an absolute cash cow for the BBC, and is the face of one of the only programs that it churns out that is actually worthwhile.

If the media hadn't blown it all out of proportion who would care really? a few saddos complaining to the BBC? I think its served its purpose of distracting people from the real issue of why the strikes are taking place.

Can't believe Clarksons comments are front page news again. I really do despair some people.

Why is it people cannot ignore comments and not take them at face value. Obviously a joke and classic Clarkson, yet the overreaction.

Really hating these times/attitudes at the moment. Imbociles.

because it wasn't funny... they guy is an idiot
