the afghan legal system is about as backwards as you can get, but it is getting better

we are talking about a country where DNA evidence is not submissable in court because the judges dont understand what it is
 
Can we call Afghan culture backwards? Absolutely, we can. We can see, objectively, that Afghanistan is an incredibly poor example of a, and I use this word very loosely, society. If we are concerned with human well being, as we all should be, then it's patently obvious that Afghanistan is one of the worst examples of a state in the entire world.

Writing off the unimaginable suffering experienced by so many, in particular that of women, with comments relating to moral relativism is frankly both intellectually, and morally absurd.

So if you want a kitchen dwelling house cleaning slave -

1) Go to Islamic country
2) Rape a woman
3) You now have a slave.

Why are we not doing this?
 
One of the really funny things is that many moons ago before we (the west) started screwing up Afghanistan they had a good education system, health care, improving women's rights (they even abolished the burka for a time), etc. Then we loused it up, pity they would have been ahead of Brazil and maybe even China if we hadn't.

I did, it's an entire website dedicated to showing a whole religion is vile and backwards. Holding that opinion is bad enough, let alone the time and effort he must have spent publicising it!


I wouldn't be surprised if he had a vagina between his legs to compensate for the 14" nob coming out of his forehead.

Christianity teaches that Jesus marked the end of the Old Covenant with God which included Jewish laws and started the New Covenant which did not require people to follow the old Jewish laws. The exact relevance of the Old Testament to Christians varies but in general it is more of a historical document which contains some moral teaching but the legal and ritualistic elements no longer apply.

Unfortunately, after the Christians sensibly got rid of it Islam copied it all back again .

You might want to check Matthew. Jesus clearly said otherwise:

"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them."
