Legal download of TV Shows in UK? Any providers?

Unfortunately there's nothing that allows you to purchase and download TV shows or films legitimately in an open format (at least not a large selection).

Your only option, other than getting an iOS device, is to download them from other sources.

That is SHOCKING, really isn't it.

Either that or its a cracking chance for someone who knows this area to set up a business in the UK.

.

Yep, come join me in the phone sub forum. Apparently it's not an issue and I'm only saying its shocking to justify my iPad purchase.

As for setting up they can't, as you won't get the distributing license with out drm.

It was my first experience with iTunes, many years ago, that put me off. It "helpfully" decided to re-organise my music and files. I spent ages un-doing what iTunes had done.

Silly Billy, that's because you couldn't be bothered to tick the box that said 'I will organise my own files'.

Netflix is launching in the UK in the spring. Should be good since it'll almost certainly come to the PS3/X360/wii so most won;t need to buy a new box to watch stuff. It'll be interesting to see if it has any impact on Sky.
