***** The Official Galaxy Nexus Thread *****

Bootloader unlocked and rooted here - for the ad blocker, Titanium Backup and Droidwall - like others though I don't see the point (for me) installing a custom ROM on a Nexus. The only reason I did it on my Desire HD was to get away from Sense... and the Nexus already is manufacturer crapware free! ;)

still no sign some 48 hours later, how can this take so long! how many nexus's have even been sold?

It's deliberate, they're doing it in dribs and drabs so that if any problems arise from the update that not everyone is affected.

For people like yourself who are affected daily I'd choose one of the numerous methods of installing the fix manually.

Film rentals on Android Market:

https://market.android.com/movies

I don’t know about transferability but it's probably linked to you Google account. There is a url to follow for instructions.

The movies are only rentals? That's a shame...

The books we buy and they link to our account forever though, right?

I have a note from the Post Office, I guess I'll pick them up in the morning.

Think I must be the last person on the planet to get this damn volume patch! Still no sign of it!! It's a poxy 1mb patch google you cretins!!:mad:

Been in a weak 2G only area all afternoon and my phone has been totally unusable!

I got cut off after 21 minutes on hold.

I looked on their website and they do not have it listed.

Contemplating lowering my existing one right down to the lowest tariff (£10 I think, if I can lower down that quickly, and don't have to do it in a tariff at a time) and getting a new contract. Failing that, I will have to wait until January. :(

I really cannot be arsed to phone them up again and hold for 20 minutes plus!

I spoke to them again today to see if they had the phones so I could upgrade my existing contract which runs out at the start of January. The lady on the other end again told me "sometime in December, which is now really" but couldn't offer any more information other than that. I've been added to some list so they'll call me when they get them in.

I dontt have it either

Are you on Tmobile, orange or three by any chance? It is only on O2 and Vodafone you will see the bug (or any provider that uses the O2 network, like giffgaff or tesco). Either that or you have only used your phone in a 3G enabled area. Every Galaxy Nexus out there at the moment has this volume bug (unless the OTA patch has been installed). Although at the speed google is distributing the patch, that's about 3 people so far

Added the giffgaff apn this afternoon a few minutes after I had it started up and as soon as the phone connected to the 3g I had the update popup.

Took less than a minute to install.
