i know this is peanuts compared to the usual stuff you discuss here, but i use a 3.5mm audio cable to my speakers

i also have the rest of my cables wedged behind the monitor

and i get interference from the other cables which comes up as crackling on the speakers

is there a cheap 3.5mm cable that is shielded to limit the interference? :)

Do you get EMI if you move the cable to your speakers away from the other cables?

Also, is the cable to your speakers removable, or it is fixed?

If it's fixed, you could try a ferrite filter or ring on the cable to absorb any EMI. See if it helps.

i dont know exactly what EMI is, but i guess it is what i am calling "interference"

anyway, if the cable is not near any others, then the sound is perfect, as soon as it is with the other cables or bunched up, it starts giving a static sound - if it is near the PSU power cable - it is really bad :p

removable :)

there are some cables on that forest online shop, but i dont know if i am wasting my money - thats why i need a little advice :)

Yes sorry, EMI stands for electromagnetic interference.

You could get a Fisual Install Series one, from the site you mentioned. They make very reasonably priced, but well made cables.

They make 3.5mm to 3.5mm, or 3.5mm to RCA, depending on the connection needed.

OcUK sell a pretty decent quality one, but they only seem to have 5m. If you only need 1m-1.5m, that's a lot of extra cable to hide somewhere.
