Rubbish, everybody would have heard about this on various programs, radio stations and newspapers that love to sensationalise 'stories' like this.

I've said already that I don't think it was a great idea to say it, but it wasn't remotely serious and people taking it seriously are just the usual PC brigade with no clue and nothing better to do.

If you look at the entire transcript it was obviously satire and the BBC producers said it was okay for him to use it before the show.

There is no arguement....What was broadcast was wrong and if you dont see it on any level other from your point of view then yes....You are out of your depth as you cannot see the bigger picture

If you think what was broadcast was wrong, you should take issue with the BBC as they authorised it. They knew exactly what he was going to say.

For someone that actually watched it you still clipped the quote... Did you miss the bit where he said he loved the strikes and then went on to say it was the BBC so needed some balance...

You (OP) are worse than so many of the others because you actually posted the quote out of context, which is a shame as in context it makes far more sense.

Now my big question is how many of those currently complaining were/are only too happy to agree (even in jest) that bankers should be shot? A large proportion I'd wager...
