Umm no.

Jeremy Clarkson is a legend and Top Gear is the greatest TV show in the world.

Also, Jeremy Clarkson is an international icon for the BBC. There's only one show the BBC is most internationally recognised for and it's not the Six O'Clock News or Antiques Roadshow.

Just because someone is an international icon for an organisation, doesn't mean he is "bigger" than the organisation itself.

The BBC is a TV production/broadcasting company. It needs recognisable and legendary presenters like JC.

Do they! is antics road show sold on DVD? Is it sold around the world. Is the format licensed around the world. All of which brings in money to the BBC. Unlike a tv program that is only aired on the BBC, that has hardly any cash flow in.
