I watched a bit of Friday Night fights on Elite TV it was marginally entertaining. Jack Osborne was practically a ringer for the Rockers loose association imo. I don't see how they can lower the age restriction on Elite with that with all the language.

He is a mate from work. No one else was online until late last night. I was tearing my hair out at some of the crap last night.
 
Quite a few abstainers on here and other sites maybe that had something to do with the lower ranks.

I'd probably of been doing the same. Looking back at some of games where it actually worked it's really fun. I hope they sort it soon.
 
Yeah, some games were ok, but it was clear as day when someone joins who has a bad connection and it just turns to crap getting shot when I had shot first.

I enjoyed it when I wasn't host, but then you always run the risk they will dashboard because of the compensator.

It's really clear when things are wrong a proper fire fight someone gets jam on their face. Laggy crap you don't even get to squeeze the trigger by the time you've seen them without even beginning to move and or aim.

I'd use that guy as a gun dog on KC.. fetch boy :D

Seriously how do you know it's the compensator all the time? Lots of people I know are having issues with Virgin media in the evenings. Our lag problems are usually due to a certain member of our party still getting host while his internet sucks balls. :(

How do you know that some of the games you are getting are not down to a similar thing? These games still seem to pick a host even if their connection is up and down.

I agree that it's been particularly bad of late but i'm confident if they removed this compensator all together the exact same issues would still be whinged about.
 
When you've put thousands of hours into online FPS you tend to get a feel for what's right and what's not. If you can't kill someone with the actual bullets required by shooting them in them square in back it's plain and simple something is wrong.

It has it, but not broken and turned up to 11. Otherwise we'd have to lead the target like in the 56k days with no compensation.

Yes because you bought a better connection to get host, the equivalent of paying for an advantage :p. For the rest of us on adequate connections we got done by lag and the same issues.

Want me to go over the old MW threads and find just how many times people complained about lag?

I think that because my connection is better now than it was when MW2 came out yet i'm finding it much harder to kill people in some matches. One of my friends upgraded from a shocking connection to fibre not too long ago. She was ace at MW2 on her crap connection yet struggles on this game for kills sometimes as well.
I know the host might have something to do with it but it's never been this bad before.

I only had 10 Meg on MW2. :p

Case in point, last night one if my friends (has 100mb virgin) had his mate (normal adsl 8mb connection ) round last night and he even commented about how he couldn't play on the 100mb connection and something didn't feel right.

Again could this not just be a problem with take up in her area rather than a game problem. There seems to be plenty of areas with issues where they cannot cope with the demand. I don't know but I don't think all these issues are down to the game. As I've said I've lived in the same area with the same connection for 5 years and every game has been shoddy as ever but people in this village that can have cable are having issues with Virgin since they went to 50mb and 100mb.

The person from our group that moans the least about lag is Joe and he has a 2mb connection Iirc. The only time he has problems is when Wyrdo gets host and he is over subscribed for his area on his 100mb Virgin connection. Now those other 11 players could be going away from games moaning about how laggy games are on MW3 due to the number of areas having issues being over subscribed on virgin rather than any real lag in the game.

Hopefully they will remove the compensation and not tell anyone, then a month after people are still complaining about host compensation they can inform everyone they removed it a month ago :D
 
I had a game last night where I couldnt kill one guy, my bullets went through him and even stabbing didnt work. It was weird because he had died in the game.. how long does it take for games to appear in your history? Do they ever go missing?
 
How many people have levelled their guns up to 31 and got gold camo? I've only done it with the M4 so far and working on the ACR now.

There's definately something not right with the connections in this game, I don't know if it's lag compensation or something else, but something is not right. If I was to jump on MW2 right now I could shoot people and they would die as soon as I pull the trigger with or without host, but in MW3 I'm often finding I pull the trigger and pretty much die instantly in a straight up fight.

So I'm to believe that 90% of the people I come across have much faster reactions than me, which is complete crap because the majority of players in CoD games are complete morons who couldn't go positive in TDM to save their lives, I'm far from being an amazing player, but I've played enough CoD to know when something isn't right.

Yeah, I thought I was in a game like that, mentioned it to my friends and they didn't agree, I'm glad someone does :D
