So i have 4 cores at it turbos to 2.6ghz ? is that a bad or good thing ?

I never see it over 2.6ghz on the turbo monitor

depends how many cores a program usses, if the program uses only a sinlge core then it can turbo that core to 2.9ghz from 2.0ghz but if the program uses 2 cores it can turbo to 2.8ghz.

it does this as at 2.00ghz it uses less power and runs cooler then if it was working at 2.9ghz all the time and it only goes to 2.9ghz if it needs to.

you might not be seeing it at 2.9ghz becouse A its using more then one core to run the program you are using or B it dosent need to use that much power and only needs 2.6ghz to run it.
