gtx 460 or 6850??

You won't be disappointed with either tbh, but my vote is for the 460. They overclock very well, was kinda sad I got rid of mine :( Plus, I prefer Nvidia drivers =]

Definitely the 460. It's a better card plus the model you linked to is an EVGA and they have a 10 year warranty plus advanced RMA if something does go wrong.

Cheers, definately a good reason to go for the 460 - any idea on the card fitting in that case?

It would be rare to find a case that the 460 wouldn't fit in. They're a couple of inches shorter than an atx motherboard so you'll have no problem at all.

460 is great, runs 6870 speeds.

Edit: Should rephrase that. My scores from benchs beat some 6870s

You'll have no problems with the 460. I'm running BF3 at 1680x1050 all details on high. I don't quite get 60FPS unless I'm looking straight up or down, usually around 45-55 which is fine for me. I don't plan on changing it for another few months anyway, at least until the AMD 7 series cards show up. I'll either get one of those or something 'old tech' which will hopefully come down in price.

For reference when i swapped it for my venerable and highly distinguished 8800GT.
