That's right. When all the many many business fail that need to be staffed 24/7 and can't because people can't get to work in the snow (because a bunch of people go "yay snow day, no work!") you keep on believing that.
I have no problem with snow, the appearance of it, people playing in it etc. But people in this country use it as an excuse to shy off work which costs the country millions and the councils are not equipped to deal with it (because it is an odd occurrence for the most part).
If we had full on hardcore winters with 2 months of solid snow it wouldn't bother me because it would be a big enough event that people couldn't just skive off for 2 months and councils would allocate enough resources to deal with it better. That way we would get all the benefits of snow (playing in it, higher gas bills, more ill people, dead people dying...no wait) and still be able to actually function as a nation.
Apparently there's a weather warning for the central belt and west coast of Scotland as the snow is coming this afternoon / tonight. Should make driving home from work tonight fun
we just got a small amount of snow before, its gone now but you can see the moors from here and its staying up there, probably not gonna be a long wait till its a foot deep like everyother year
