who thought it would be a great idea to remove voice channels to friends list on a website... instead of ingame :rolleyes:
 
0-7 in jets... im so rubbish mouse isnt sensitive enough i rack it to 10000 dpi and its still rubbish .. thats my excuse
 
I am not at my main PC atm so can't test, did the patch do anything to imrove joystick support as i couldn't bind any of my joystick buttons before so couldn't fly?

I have the T-flight Hotas btw

Have you tried changing your controls? I use W/S and Mouse up/down to pitch I find its easy to manoeuvre that way.

A/D to roll

Left/Right mouse to Yaw

And where are the people that were defending him and saying that he wasn't cheating? :p


That is why I never played on smogsy server, cause I knew that lander played there pretty much all the time, however I may be on quite a lot now! :)

Recorded a session tonight, split it down using windows movie maker top show just the Little bird section and uploaded it to youtube. It has no sound for some reason, is that because it's Afterburner and it doesn't do sound or something else? Can anyone advise how to make it include sound?

 
Am i missing something with the jet's guided missile or are they just garbage?
I guess SOFLAM would help but why would i give up my rocket pods for it? In case somebody decides to use SOFLAM?
Trying to target something on the ground is hard enough without worrying about choppers and jets in the air too. Changed back to rocket pods quick sharpish :)
 
SOFLAMs range is terrible really unless i had a mate on voice coms activley telling me i would never bother "on the off chance"
 
Just changed back to guided missile and out of 3 missiles fired, one destroyed, one disabled and one miss but that was because the tank made it into a building just in time on Op Fires. The tank stayed there for most of map too.
Not as bad as i first thought but it aint easy to laser the target. And of course, the game crashed because i was in a jet on Op Fires :(

The guided missile is quite good when you couple it with beam-scanning - really reduces the time taken to lock on!

The only downside with it is that obviously it takes your eyes away from where you're flying, got to have your wits about you ;)

They work a bit better once you have beam scanning. Can lock on much quicker, still take a bit of effort to get a kill though. Really need the damage to be more. A full health jeep seems to be able to take a hit and only be disabled, for it to die it has to have taken some damage already which is just ridiculous.
 
i remember the first time i got in a jet on the beta I crashed on take off. then later i got in a helicopter and crashed it and killed my teammate within 3 seconds lol, the chat read "if you can't fly dont get in the chopper noob!" haha, i just find it funny, how are you supposed to learn if you don't try.

Now I'm an accomplished jet pilot, i can usually dominate the skies and kill plenty of soliders on the ground and get disabled vehicles with the laser guided missiles, I know they suck but i enjoy dropping them and when you get a soflam it's great.

I haven't manged to get used to the rocket pods or the chopper rocket pods either. It seems they dont seem to land where you fire them, anyone got any advice.

Also occasionally i come up against a better dog fighter than me and i can't seem to evade or turn as tight as him. Again any advice on tactics would be appreciated.
