That is how our legal system works...

Laws are passed by elected politicians who are influenced by a public who are in turn influenced by any manner of illogical emotions/beliefs.

Trying to rant about the fact that some things which are illegal aren't logical and only based on human emotions/beliefs is rather pointless....

Laws against prostitution, gay marriage, fox hunting, blasphemy laws, Sunday trading laws, banning cannabis but allowing tobacco - lots of laws are in place based mostly on beliefs/morals held by particular groups.

Pointless yes, already said that. But it isn't how it should work and i can register my displeasure at such stupid laws.

Day by day, thousands of animals get SLAUGHTERED in the most barbaric way known, whatever those who do it claim. People in Eastern Europe shoot hogs and bears and wild animals kill each other. They get killed to feed us, to feed other mammals.

That snake killed the cat to get fed so what is the issue here? The guy fed the kitten to his pet snake. Maybe he cares about his snake more? If our country is so LOVING of kittens/cats then why is it that when you RUN ONE OVER you don't have to report it? If its a dog you do. If anything, thats worse. DOUBLE STANDARDS MUCH?

You run over a kitten and its body get crushed by the weight of the car and its just left there, dead. At least this snake got fed from it.

The only people who have an argument against this are vegans. Everyone else who says this is wrong is a hypocrite or doesn't in the slightest understand the food chain or the modern world. What gives that kitten more right to live than the chicken that was killed and is now put in your boneless banquet? or the pig that was killed so you can have a bacon sandwich before work? Absolutely stupid.

I hope next time you take a bite into meat you pause for a moment and think, you're just as bad as that guy, you've been part of the process that allows a living thing to be killed in such a way. Congratulations to you, you're not so different after all! You were just involved in a different part of that process.

The disgusting brutality of life. What a can of worms. I am a cat lover and think the video is sick but it's also the natural way of things. When we question this we should also question eating any kind of meat.

What I have a problem with is that cats were bred to have a relationship with people, that makes them very special.

That video of him drowning one in a bath is actually pretty horrible. Got no problem with killing/death of animals when there is a good reason, but this guy is clearly just about killing for entertainments sake. Obviously now nothing to do with feeding a snake. Clearly a screwed up individual and needs some help (or tied to a stick and dipped in a cold bath).

If he's fed his snake the kitten thats not going to bother me in the slightest. See above.

Feeding a completely aware kitten to a snake, or killing 2 completely aware kittens in a vacuum bag is just nasty.

Yes, I get that snakes eat living things. But why did he pick a kitten? Because he knew it was nasty. He didnt do it as a treat for the snake. He could have just as easily bought the snake some proper food, reared for the purpose. BUT NO, he decided to video a snake crushing a kitten. For the lolz. Thats the problem here.

How do you go about stunning a kitten before it gets eaten?

As a snake, Lizard and Cat owner, I can tell you now, I'd never think about feeding my snake anything bigger than a mouse, and a stunned mouse at that.

I didnt 'blame' the snake. In fact I dont blame anyone or anthing in any case of one animal eating another. I merely pointed out that the person making the video didnt actually inflict any pain directly onto an animal, it was a snake eating a kitten.

And why does it matter if it was a setup? People post videos of one animal eating another live animal all over youtube, but no one cares in the slightest until the thing being eaten is a cat.

Because one animal eating another animal is not in anyway wrong - its a perfectly natural predator / prey occurrence. People who own animals for whatever reason tend to feed them.

How can you, if you are in any way rational or logical in your beliefs / arguments define the act of a snake being fed a kitten as anymore wrong than if the snake had been fed a rat?

I found the various internet shock videos of girls eating poop, and men doing things with aroused horses far more wrong than any video of one animal eating another.

The only reason is your emotional attachment to the kitten due to it being fluffy and cute, which is a personal belief and not a factual reason for why there was anything wrong about feeding a kitten to a snake.
