5 Games you would like remade today

Battlefield 3.

Connection dropping every 5 minutes and it runs like crud on lowest settings, but still looks quite nice :confused:

Patch will "probably" sort it though

Ohhhh controversial! ;)

You sure it isn't your system or connection? A lot of the lag issues have been sorted, so could be the server you are using.
 
Tried some random servers all are the same.

My system - q6600 @ stock, 4870, 4gb ram. Slightly ageing but I play most new games fine with some settings lowered but with bf3 I am literally using the lowest possible settings. And it still lags.

For example I play bc2 fine maxed out, even being able to use 1x anti aliasing and its like silk.

I don't think I'm over estimating my pc's capabilities? Its just a poorly optimized game.

The connection dropping out might be down to my router which I've had issues with before so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on that one.

"A lot of the lag issues have been sorted", **** looks like I face a unwanted graphics upgrade :(

Caspian Border is quite smooth but just played sehne crossing and it was lagging horribly.

Try using the server browser and specify UK servers with low pings. See if the problem remains, there were issues with servers lagging but I think they patched that out.

Yes your system is quite dated and even by todays standards BF3 is extremely intensive, requiring high end hardware for some of the higher settings. Also make sure you have the latest GPU drivers and change the presets within the drivers to performance, not quality.

But saying that make sure you rule out the servers and the router first. Port forward any ports you find from googling, make sure the router is running the latest and best FW. Also run something like Fraps and see what FPS you are getting. Lower the resolution and see if that helps. It might look awful not using your monitors native but at least you can rule some things out before chucking money at the problem with hardware upgrades.
 
Seeing as I, and more than a few others, would like a Syndicate remake as anybody seen this yet?



Due in February 2012. Looks half decent, but I guess only time will tell.
 
I Would love to see a remake of Meglalomania. Also cannon fodder, Moonstone and The settlers. Lastly I would pick Another world.
