Hey guys, Well basically I have been using my sky netgear router for over 4 years. I've notice the green lights have gone a bit dimmer lol(use to be very bright). But the internet is all working fine as usual. wonder if its near it end??

Thanks

Some LEDs do dim over time. Don't worry about it. Even if they failed I doubt it would affect the operation of the router itself.

White netgear router? If so also known as phase 1, first supplied router from sky.
The light goes go dimmer on them over time, and is very common. Will not effect
The routers functionality. But if your concerned a free replacement is possible.

Afaik they do not charge for replacement on the netgear. But you might have to word it
Correctly, a dim light does not require a replacement but I'm sure you'll know what to say.

Yeh white router it is, hehe I'll come up with a different excuse for a replacement lol. btw do SKy supply wireless N type routers now?

cheers

I had a replacement for my original DG834GT from Sky as it kept resetting and they sent me a god awful DG934G black thing which was worse. I dont know what their current offerings are like.

The Sagem ones?

should be...wireless pollution is killing a lot of peoples connection, could be a multitude of reasons...if you get 4 bars that's pretty good though
