** Overclockers UK Official Festive Calendar Daily Deals 2011 **

to be honest, I dont believe the deals information anyway.

went down to the shop on Saturday to buy an asus 6950 (that comes bundled with battlefield 3 and deus ex)

only to be told, nonchalantly but some young lad they dont have the games,(it was the games that made it a decent deal) they are fist come first served.

Looked again at the site, and I cant see that stated anywhere

I came away without buying, and feeling very very disappointed.

I think, at this point, I will not buy anything from overclockers again on principle.

worst of it is, I even phoned up 15 minutes before hand to ask a couple of question about the card, and said it was the one with the 2 games i was interested in.
 
^^ You went to all that effort to end up taking something as gospel from a single, young member of staff?

That is your opportunity to speak to a more senior staff member and ask, 'if you haven't got the supplied games in stock, can I have them when you do? Or if not, what can you offer me to make me more inclined to give you my hard earned money'.

No business wants you leaving the shop without spending the cash you came to spend :S you just spoke to a young one who's head is too full of young shizz to give a crap about things like that.

Contact me in the Customer Services section of the forums and I shall resolve your issue. - I am unsure as to why the shop staff told you that, as I believe we still have plenty of stock.

you are dead right, I should have asked to speak to a more senior member of staff, but it wound me up massively and decided to leave the shop before i lost my temper.

I think I remember reading a thread on here that said it depends on which controller is being used. The slower drives will last longer than the faster ones or something like that. Either way they will last you a long time.
