Is there some sort of memory leak with this game, keep getting booted out with system memory running low?

You don't have to know him in real life, to know that he cheats :rolleyes:

I know some very good players as well and there SPM (let alone their skill) is no where near that!

You have low standards if you think 400 SPM is "very good" :). Skill number isn't a good way to judge "skill", one bad round and it'll drop by a few hundred.
 
Im think gonna have to stop playing on Smogsys. Much as I enjoy playing with you guys, softcore mode frustrates me so much a lot of the time. I get tired of getting hit marker after hit marker and still not dropping people, or grenades which seem about as effective as a wet fart, and not being able to use single shot to engage people at long range effectively. Softcore feels too much like CoD for me, an endless cycle of hold trigger, reload when you get the kill message, repeat :(

Are there any OcUKers who play hardcore regularly on decent servers?

On a little side rant, I have not seen a single good sniper yet on BF3. They are all rubbish. Good shots, but rubbish at sniping. Most snipers I see never move from one spot, so it's a simple matter of shooting them when you respawn, or outflanking and knifing them. Even when killcam is on, they dont move. Do they not realise that the moment they kill someone, they give away their position? It really baffles me how stupid most recon players are.

Around 400-500.

And I have yet to see someone who has anything higher than 600 and isn't a cheater.

Care to link me to some people who have better overall stats than them, that don't cheat? :)

There probably are a few that do have better stats than those ones linked, but in nearly every profile I look at, I don't see many people with anything higher than 500.

True about the skill level, but landers is always around 500-900 I have noticed, and I don't judge peoples skill by the "skill" number, it just gives me an indication as to if they are possibly cheating or not, again for most players I usually see around 200-400 skill.


And I don't just go by skill, SPM and k/d to determine a good player, I also go by how many "most valuable player awards", MVP ribbons, team score, objective score, heals, revives, resupplies etc. that they have.

I just got kicked out a server for using flashlight? I was careful not to blind anyone on my own team but apparently it cant be used against the other side either. Wtf?
 
I'm not saying they aren't good, but they certainly aren't anything to be bragging about.

Also a high SPM it's suspicious but you can't pull the cheater card without solid proof.

The thing with Hardcore, and it's more an issue on busy servers, is the TeamKills. Damn it's annoying.

We're almost thinking of turning Friendly Fire off on our HC server as it just gets people being abusive & frustrated. Only problem with that is the server then becomes Custom.

I've never had a problem with team-kills. The occasional accidental, but nothing more. At least it teaches you a bit of restraint and means you are less likely to open up if your own team is in the way.
