My replacement 4S arrives tomorrow after my upgrade was stolen. I claimed off my house insurance but the excess was high.

Can anyone recommend an insurer, I'm not fussed about accidental damage more so theft/loss.

Cheers

You know more often than not most banks offer mobile insurance, Im with natwest and
I have mobile insurance with them, my package with Natwest contains Mobile, Travel and
something else I cant remeber for £6.95 a month for it all.

Have you read the latest T&Cs for the Natwest mobile insurance policy though?

They won't replace your phone with a new one, they'll either offer you another brand of smartphone as a replacement or pay you what they reckon it will cost to purchase a refurbished iPhone!

I'm with First Direct and the most they will cover is £300.

What is the point in paying something like £10/month for that?

I'm gutted O2 won't insure non-O2 phones because their service despite being sickeningly expensive was actually very good.

Hey again scott212, I am in the same boat as I have the 64GB 4S so need coverage up to £700.

Someone else posted a while ago about gadget insurance for iphones for upto £700 and worked out from £30-80? per year including theft for the top package.

If I find it I will post it here!

EDIT - A quick google got me £70 at http://www.protectyourbubble.com/gadget-insurance/get-quote.html I am too lazy to read terms and conditions atm tho mate
Insure2go http://www.insurance2go.co.uk/ works out the cheapest at £65 if you also do cashback using http://www.topcashback.co.uk/ref/lighters <-- Referal link to sign up if you havent already

reading reviews for the above insurers dont look very good :'( they have stupid excess payments of £75 etc and seem to weasel their way out of everything despite people being in situations with extenuating circumstances etc hmm

Going to go with protect my bubble, any excess under £100 is fine.

I'll have a proper look when I get home from work.

Cheers gents.

That sounds good, do they also cover smartphones as I've seen some but they say in the T&C's that they don't cover smartphones. :(
