Hi all just wondering g what sort of temps I should be getting for the noctua nb d14 cooler on a 2500k CPU...

My temps vary by 5-6 degrees between cores.. At 4.0 ghz they are about 24-32 at idle and 52-64 whilst running IBT.. Do these seem ok or should I look to reseat the cooler and redo the TIM??

Just running the turbo boost function of tha asrock extreme 4 gen 3.. Will move it upto 4.6 later on once I'm happy.. Vcore off top of head was about 1.32.. Will check when I get home..

Depending on how good your CPU is you should be able to reach 4.6 with a Vcore of around the 1.350v area if not a little less.Regarding Temps! anything up to the 70-75 area under full load and your good to go.

mine at 4.6 stable at 1.33V

but thats temps of around 69-73oc in IBT or there abouts i probably can go higher with 1.35V but i think i prob hit high temps on my NHD14

Running 4.5Ghz at 1.32v the highest I've seen mine hit is 60c running a Thermalright MUX 120, so I imagine yours should be a few degrees lower.

Then again my room temp was only about 18-19c, yours could be higher.

Running IBT ATM... Currently temps are min 19-26 with max 66 -75 across 4 cores.. Volts currently fluctuating from 1.344 to 1.368. That's running @4.6ghz ...

I think I may look at reseating and reapplying TIM tomorrow and see if that changes much... If its worse I'll do it again.. If better then win :D

Allthough its worth a try! Dont expect miracles as IBT does give these CPU's some stick.

Those temps look fine and about right for that overclock and volts. For 4.6, my volts peak at 1.344 and temps range from 64-72 ish max across the cores so I don't think you're going to see a massive improvement (if any) by reapplying the TIM. Worth a go though just in case :)
