The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

Gah, still haven't gotten round to playing this. Need to get my priorities straight. :D

I take it's a good game considering its got 114 pages?

GOTY with very few strong contenders, to be honest. Absolutely fantastic, very flawed right now but time will iron out any significant creases no problem.

Finally got my alchemy and enchanting upto 100 and the ingredients to make two swords with 500+ damage (each with two enchantments) and lots of resistance and damage enhancing gear...quite fun :D

You could say that :) As long as you're not one of the OMG TEXTURES ARENT LIKE HI RES PHOTOS, and then OMG TEXTURE PACK & INI BROKE MY GAME BUT IT'S NOT MY FAULT crew you'll be just fine ;)

It's amazing, stunning, and better the more I play it.

Please don't use them, you'll get bored because you can 1 hit literally anything (OK maybe 2), and it'll just become playing on GOD mode - no fun.

Wish I knew about getting enchanting up to max for decent dmg.. I was stuck cleaving with my Skyforge battleaxe all game  Still completed though!

Spellbreaker is awesome. Standing there in front of an Ancient Dragon, shield up, frost or flame flying all round you but you emerge unscathed :)

Having Elemental Protection perk helps too.

100 hours in and i finally got the backstab perk, can't believe i didn't use it before. Sneaking is now brilliant, it will be the first perk i go for next time i play!

Imo, this is one if the best stealth games around.

My warrior is currently dabbling with smithing.

Im guessing he should also look at enchanting to add some magic buffs to equipment?

Am I right in thinking the way you learn enchantments is to disenchant (and destroy) another item with the desired enchantment?

That is right, it is also a fairly easy skill to level up, much like smithing. I have 100 smithing, but around 40 enchanting, so i am waiting until i level it up some more and add a few perks before i enchant my Dragon armour.

I would like to be able to remove enchantments without destroying so that i could re-enchant the Nightingale armour, not bothered about illusion spells costing less tbh.

It really is best to put perks in to enchanting as well as the last one is being able to put 2 enchantments on the same thing i believe

Yes, and alchemy too :D
I guess making health potions would be handy :p

Once you apply an enchatment to an item, it cant be overwritten with another?

Kinda weary of spending my perk points, we only get 1 per level up?

Resolved my dragon query:

Not all Dragons are hostile and can in fact unintentionally aid the player by attacking whatever enemy is nearby as like most npcs they become hostile to other hostile creatures such as ice wraiths, spiders and sometimes aggressive giants. They will be non-hostile so long as the player doesn't attack it.

The article really should take note of a dragon's fondness for bandits at forts.

What level do you have to be to take on dragons?

Im level 17 is this too soon for me?

Also how do I get the dragon to bloody land somewhere so I can hit it?

I cant bash it with an axe whilst its flying around breathing fire on me!

You can take on dragons at any level.

I've completed the main quest now! Was great fun! Also joined the Stormcloaks and have now taken a fort!

Absolutely epic at the siege of *spoiler*, I used Dragon Call. Oh my god Dragon attacking City. EPIC!

Any level, it helps when you're lower if there's some other mobs nearby to distract them though. As mentioned above they have a fondness for bandit forts :)

And to get it to land, try and get it with a bow so it's aggro to you then move into a clearing so it has room to land.

Has anyone killed a dragon in mid air? I did last night and it landed like a crashing aeroplane leaving a trail behind him where he was sliding. I don't think i'll ever kill a dragon on the ground again. This was true epicness.
